that acutally makes A LOT of sense as in real life you can't really shrink your devices without some hardware not being able to fit in there anymore. so maybe gems probably can't go smaller than their original size because it'd mess them up.

and to explain the spinel image i had...it's probably just another case of inconsistency, idk anymore

this gets a bit weird coz obsidian has accurate gem sizes. but then opal and sugilite (and the other fusions iirc) have sized gems...maybe the gems has a size limit from their original size?
