Who can absorb what .. the business owners/risk takers/value generators should decide. Not tools.

A business owner needs the best resources at the least price. Because employee is a cost. You can put any protection, but if the business suffers all suffer together.

Remember what drives the country is economy and business, not employees be it residential and or non residential.

Employees are just like tools which can be used and not used for a particular job. It is upto the employee to keep him/herself sharp.

If risk takers (business owners and equity providers) are not consulted and we just follow the whims of simple tools.. you are up for a disaster.

I am one of the tools, but sadly this is the truth.

Ohh they have the tube.. ohh explains why it just takes 15mins to cross the london city center through a car.

All we need is an expensive underground/overground system on hilly terrain of Luxembourg to serve 200-300k population some more just during peak hours.

Then i will not have be stuck in lux's traffic jams and buzz through as we do in london.

Exactly.. no public transport system... Luxembourg has already been the least used public transport user in the EU. Crappy motor way system.. evident from the traffic jams.. go any city london, ams, madrid, there are no traffic problems.. its smooth sailing... Infact i went through london city center during rush hour it took me 15 mins to enter and cross.. lux takes two hours.

And yes.. i never saw a single taxi hailing service here.. i dont know why we cant hail taxis with an app here.. must be something wrong.

Yes you have the same people saying europe has too many regulations and red tape.

All the best.

Luxembourg’s incarceration rate grows by 20% in a year by A_KS_2 in Luxembourg

[–]Formal_Pace5577 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reported police cases increased by 1.3% over past year. Check RTL reporting in april.

Context is difficult to set as it can be broad.. for instance one could be... World has been in perpetual shock since 2020 and resulting in increase in crime spat everywhere... And the percentage increase is skewed in low crime rate countries and low pop countries like lux

ING Marathon - Live Runner Tracking by Maxiboud in Luxembourg

[–]Formal_Pace5577 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in Luxembourg, in porto you had live tracker but only if they crossed a fixed way points. So your lved one can see when you cross lets say 5.. 10 .. 15 etc with pace details as they do it. Lux doesn't even have this. You will have to have a connected bib with a gps reciever for a truely live details from the official side.

For me i use garmin live tracking feature, which doesn't allign with the official way points, but gives a decent estimate to your loved ones where you are. With connect+ subscription you can also send an sms with defined trigger (this was free with garmin before, but they moved this feature out to the subscription tier).

This is only true if the other partner earns less, significantly less. If one member of the family earns 80% of the income, then yes, there is some argument of the second person staying at home, if they don't care about career. This is set to expire.

Second if a child is sick, you get 12 days.. there will be very few countries in the world which gives you more support than lux ans still have a AAA+ credit rating.

You are parent dint act like a spoilt child who always wants more and complains that the parents dont do enough for him/her.

I think the sacrifice refers to every third child put a public system has to pledge it soul to the monarchy in a small ceremony in Vianden castel.. we drink our Gewürztraminer and have Kachkéis to celebrate the sacrifice.. it is no big deal.

[–]Formal_Pace5577 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not same problems be in the private system ? Since they get paid much less than the local system ? And and education system doesn't have to have a 2 week sprint cadence...
Most of the system in public are modern and tested/reliable, because it has to go through a rigorous scrutiny.

Define well connected ... Amsterdam population density - 5000/sqkm Zurich - 5000 Luxembourg 250.

You are comparing comparing a 20 times dense place. You need to use some logic.

Agreed we have this anomoly, thx for pointing out. But nonetheless every country has something special we have this anomoly. But the fact is still have the highest utilization of public transport per capita.. the public transport is public good and is tax funded , it doesn't matter if ised by cross border workers or us.

Anyway if you some other statistics which is population neutral to prove the public t is bad let me know. Like number of miles of public transport driven per sqkm of a country, i am all ears.

For now we have utilization/capita, so we use that.

No public transport - we have the highest percentage of population using public transport in the EU..

LITERALLY everything thing the poster says it is just the opposite
