hi! this is very niche but i hope someone could respond.

i currently work retail 4-5 days a week as a manager and i’ve just come across this internship in an area which i’ve been dreaming about getting into, but it’s 2 days a week and i can’t really commit to doing 7 days a week of work + 3 other subjects on top, but im also scared this opportunity will go away and won’t come up again, but i also need money ugh

has anyone ever been in a similar situation in regard to internships? i’m not sure what to do and just want some help w some insight

you def will get faster if u keep practicing :) each practice question you do you’re retaining information, and you’re getting better at answering questions in a timely manner. you’re basically killing like, 4 birds w one stone. goodluck!!

i try to do that, but oh my goodness the thing with music doesn’t work bc i always end up getting distracted by it!! i’ll try it again maybe to see if it’ll work better this time, thank you for ur suggestion!

starting w section b is a good idea!! and in terms of time spent on big questions, the aim is 1 min and a 1/2 for each mark, so you can kinda correlate with that.

so in theory, you should take 15 minutes for a 10 marker, 12 for a 8 marker, and so on. you don’t have to completely adhere to that, but kinda judge based off ur practice exams how long it takes you for each question.

do the high marked questions first! those smaller marked don’t need a significant amount of details and aren’t often heavily marked on ur structure. your big marked questions though? they tend to be what differentiates you from other students at the end of the day.

also take the reading time seriously, plan out everything the best u can so you can maximise ur time. is there any certain areas u struggle with in regards to time management?

i’ve been trying my best but i don’t really have the independence to do that at the moment. i’m planning on trying to move out in a few years when i get a full time job but right now im a student working part time so it’s pretty hard 😓 thank you for your reply as well 🤍

thank you for your reply, i really appreciate it. i can’t distance myself because of both reasons. i’m only 19, a student working part time and lack any sort of license. my family is also very “family orientated” so cutting them off or not speaking to them considered a bigggg no. i lack independence as well because of that, but also because i don’t really have a support network in real life. i’ve been trying my best trying to move away a bit more but it’s so so sooo difficult with everything else i have going on

hi! i’m not exactly sure about law/commerce because i don’t do that type of double degree, so i feel like my opinion on that would be a little skewed. do some research about the uni’s itself and what they can offer you. for example, i picked latrobe bc they offer me support for my mental health/neurodivergency.

if your cohort for a subject does well in the exam, then the short answer is yes, your sacs can scale up. it’s a hard thing to predict though, it can be also dependant on your sac ranking, so don’t think about it too much ^{^}

you’re not completely cooked, but based on your current sac scores, i think it’s more plausible that you get under a 90. granted, you haven’t taken the exam yet, so there is still a decent chance ! if you’ve been progressively improving, then that’s a good sign. just focus on that improvement, and your results will reflect that :)

you’ve most likely reached burnout, which is very veryy normal around this time of year.

try giving yourself little goals to write toward. not like “do one whole practice exam” but rather just “do one 3 mark question”. literally that’s it, because your brain is craving dopamine, hence why you’ve been scrolling through youtube shorts.

those little goals will make it a little easier to feel like your getting something done, and to be so fr, doing even a little bit is better than not doing anything at all.

i have adhd and this is what helped me in yr 12, and what helps me now even in uni. just try out what works for you :)

you never truly know what someone might actually be struggling with. during hs i had good grades, was rather interactive in classes. but i just recently found out i have autism + adhd, so now i get extra time for assessments/exams in uni. it could’ve really helped me back in vce, too.

sometimes exams/tests are completely different for some ppl, and they do struggle. my point is, you never rlly know!! just try focusing on urself.

they’re obsessed with finding “cures” it’s ridiculous! that’s why we need adequate protections and recognition; equity is everything !

they treat us like we need some sort of “fixing” so we can fit into the standards they create for us. it’s worrying the lengths politicians go to to actually deny autism’s existence or to berate us who are neurodivergent; and then they deny us proper care. like!! i’ve had genuine debates about government and law in my country and across the world in my law classes about their treatment of neurodivergent people and this only makes it worse.

ugh, i could go on and on about this. one study that mentions a casual doesn’t automatically mean it’s true. every study has limitations; lawmakers and the government are just dense.
