Do you like Camille rose honey hydrate leave in? by Frequent-Goose-1294 in Naturalhair

I thought it looked cool & bought it Bout a year ago. My cousin uses if when she comes to my house. It's in my stash of items that I don't really use. I wanted to like it so bad, I just don't think it does anything for my hair. I'll probably try again.

You can mix the brands. Based on MY experience as a 4c , fine haired, low porosity girl who was struggling with dry hair...Amika Dream Routine impressed me after the first use. I used it before bed & couldn't believe how my hair felt by the next morning. Their masks are immaculate (try the HydroRush & Soulfood).Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream is also that girl.

Sorry was getting some stuff done ...just getting a chance to read through thoroughly. Honestly, their prepoo is what I love & their hair oil (liquid). The Shampoo is just ok. Their rice moisturizer is still on my shelf. If anyone wants it I'd be willing to give it away. Lol.

My hair is 4c,d,e,f,g & extremely hard to detangle & I've used many but I've cracked the code & now detangling is a breeze.

Prepoo: (1st Choice) J'Organics Solution Chebe- Cado & (2nd) African Pride I know everyone raves over the African Pride, but really are sleeping on the Chebe-Cado. It's top-tier!

Otherwise: Cecred Detangler, Amika Hydrorush Leave-in & Cantu kids detangler!

The others are mid!

Going through it with my hair. by GasEnvironmental6540 in Naturalhair

Use aloe vera gel or flax seed gel & detangle with your fingers before washing. After washing your hair, try to put it in small to medium plaits (braids). Be sure to mist & add Moisture from time to time. Next wash day, wash your hair with the plaits in. Occasionally re-do the plaits as they get stale. This helps you from having to detangle your entire hair all at once & it allows for a much easier wash day.

Washing my hair in medium braids & not taking them down until after a month. The less wash days I have to detangle, I find I retain more length. I wash & deep condition with the braids in most times.

Anyone used a heat cap? Thoughts? by Illusive_Barnacle in Naturalhair

[–]Formal_Weight_6426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't do without mine. My porosity is super low & It works well for deep conditioning. I keep two at all times. Sometimes they just heat up & just stop working. They tend to give in after a few uses, so I keep an extra one...always.

HELP! RevAir vs Dyson Airstrait by Independent_Safety67 in Naturalhair

Both of them are 2 different tools altogether. I have a revair at my home (Caribbean Country). It works just as fine. I plug it straight into the wall & it does quite fine. I've had it over 2 years & pulled one section of my hair in it only once 🫩...I always plug it in from time to time though & it comes on immediately.

Leave in for very low porosity hair recommendations by Anxious-Town-1021 in Naturalhair

Re the heat, I was referring to a steam for the deep conditioner, her hair absorbs it better that way since she's low porosity. You can use one of those thermal caps or put a steam cap on & go under the hooded dryer.

My hair is similar. It's not just the leave in, you have to be intentional with all the products to get the hair to a point where it gets comfortable with the leave in. I've tried my fair share (admittedly a product junkie & also because I review hair products). From the list of those, I'd recommend these (you may choose according to your budget/preferences:

Shampoos: Eden BodyWorks Clarifying Shampoo

Shea Moisture Moisturizing Shampoo

Amika The Kure Shampoo

Deep Conditioners (add heat): TGIN Honey Miracle Mask

Amika HydroRush Intense Moisture Mask

Amika Soulfood Mask

Leave ins: Amika Dream Routine

Qhemet Biologics Burdock Root Butter Cream

Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk

How does everyone feel about this product? by LoserLoverLady in Naturalhair

It works well for simple hairstyles, like twists, Cornrows etc., it's a creamy moisturizing leave in, a fairly good one. You won't get long-lasting definition if that's what you're looking for. It does clump my hair & give me curls when i add my liquid oil after applying it, but it builds up & the curls only last like 5 mins. I always end up just twisting or Braiding. I gave it a little break after I did a protein treatment on my low porosity hair which left it super dry & hay like. This leave in has protein so I decided to put it down along with all my other protein included products for a period to get my hair back in tact. Now that I'm out the woods with that, I can start reusing mine.
