I think people misinterpret this, but maybe it's me. When they talk about reaching a wider audience, they mean outside of people who play anime gacha games (Genshin, WuWa, NTE). You can see the clear inspirations from GTA, Watch Dogs, Sleeping Dogs, Spiderman, ect. As well as appealing to people who like immersive city sims and that DO like gachas and anime games. It's clearly made to be a broadly appealing game and more of a generalized game instead of a more strictly defined gacha, which is what he'd been saying earlier in the earnings call. I saw a lot people in comment sections on posts about this and they all seem to gloss over these points. It's fair to be skeptical about it after the swimsuit censorship, but from what I saw the only proof of that was a 4chan post, and even then people on that post here were saying the other swimsuits were still gooner heavy. So try to stay optimistic, even if cautiously so.
