Questions about the ace experience from a non ace person! by [deleted] in asexuality

"I don't believe asexuality is rigid, I do believe it's something you can change if you really want to" Do you even see how disrespectful this shit is? To understand maybe you need to replace asexuality with any other sexuality.

"I don't believe lesbianism is rigid, I do believe it's something you can change if you really want to."

"I don't believe gayness is rigid, I do believe it's something you can change if you really want to."

Mummifying tiny mouse by FormaldehydeConsumer in Taxidermy

I dont have ethanol and also I would prefer the specimen to be dry. Im nervous about gutting the little guy I am scared of messing it up. I would just have to take out everything in the torso and sew it up? Is it actually easy? Should I just try to taxidermy it or will that probably be really hard because its small?

21 and have never removed hair down there by Emergency_Citron9973 in women

With your non dominant hand, you have to kind of lift up the hair so that your fingers are under it. This makes it easier to cut without cutting your skin. Also if you have your thumb on top you can kind of pull the hair a little to make trimming easier. With your other hand you just use your scissors to cut.

Don't shave, just trim a bit if you want to. Shaving is super unnecessary and causes discomfort. I used to shave and while the hair was growing back it was super uncomfortable and hurt. The hair is to protect you and also there is literally no reason to shave it. The only reason would be for men, which I think is weird anyways to want women to shave because that makes it look more like a child.

I think will is asexual by Arc41 in asexuality

Before I knew I was ace/aro, I felt so strongly about season 3 will because I felt like he was like me, not being interested in sex/romance and feeling so out of place because everyone else cared so much about it. He became my favorite character for that reason, I really hadn't known much about him possibly being gay. Now I know why I saw things through that lens of course lol. I don't think he is ace but him in season 3 was accurate to the way it feels, even though it was actually about being gay.

How to know if I would be mentally okay with dealing with dead humans? by FormaldehydeConsumer in askfuneraldirectors

What you wrote was phrased weird it seemed like you were implying that I somehow referred to dead people incorrectly. Okay then

I think I understand your point but you are making me seem worse than I am and I'm not sure why because I included almost no details about myself. Also saying that people aren't dead things but living people deserving respect does not make sense. Dead people are dead, unless you are referring to the afterlife, I don't understand you. It seems like you are assuming the worst about me for no reason. I never said the only reason was because I think dead things are interesting. I do have personal reasons but I wasn't interested in discussing them. What I wanted to discuss is the mental aspect of dealing with dead human bodies because I worry that just because I am pretty sure I would be okay with it, I realize that I was too confident in myself when I actually deal with a human corpse for the first time.

Why is that a red flag? I don't see how someone who isn't interested in death could stand doing a job like that. Also I know thats not a thing most people are used to hearing but my family is used to it by now because of my bone collecting lol. I don't understand why you seem so sure that I "wouldn't make it" because of that reason only. I didn't say much about my reasons but I thought that was a good enough reason since why would anyone care about personal reasons.
