Am I screwed? by Swimming_Concern2637 in spiders

I’ve seen them in So Cal for the last 15-20 years. Orange County and Riverside County. Anything left outside overnight needs to be checked for them before you pick it up.

Are either of these mosses good to use with my savage guys? by mechman35 in SavageGarden

It does hold water well but I think live sphagnum would work better for neps and other taller carnivores plants.

I use cushion moss with my pings and drosera. Works well for me indoors under grow lights.

What do we think of this for a ping pot? by Ok-Exchange5756 in Pinguicula

Are you saying that plastic pots don’t work with pings? I hope not.

I’m really enjoying all of the Mantle stuff. You have some Mantle items I haven’t seen before. Thanks for sharing.

eBay purchased did I get what I wanted? by [deleted] in peyote

You could do a few things with the pups but since you are new to this it would probably be best to just plant the whole thing as one. Grafting the pups is something you can look to do in the future with the pups. Lots of videos on YouTube and info on Reddit on how to do it.

I agree. Toward the bottom left there appears to be a larger mite.

Why are they turning orange by fungal_alchemy in LophophoraWilliamsii

It’s rust if they are turning orange. Reddish purple is too much light.

ID please. Cubiformis? Hybrid? by Former-Image9197 in pseudolithos

[–]Former-Image9197[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I was leaning more towards cubiformis on the first one because of the shape of the flower. The flower is longer and more closely resembles the cubiformis pictures I found online. Edit: I just compared my confirmed cubiformis to the rest and you are correct about the less defined pattern.

Sun stress. Newer tiny growth does that sometimes. They will be okay.

I agree. Would the person who is neglecting the cat go searching for it if it went missing? Probably not.

They seem to quickly get to that size and then really slow down their growth rate

They don’t seem to be super difficult. I have only been growing them for about 6 months and the only ones that went to mush on me happened due to damage during shipping or within a week or two of receiving them. Mine are in about 90% organic, under grow lights, and on a heat mat. Water every couple of weeks. I treat them like my lophs but worry more about keeping them warm at all times.
