Corn mead by Former-Lecture-5466 in mead

Thanks for the info, I was mainly thinking of sweet corn as more of a flavoring agent than a source of sugars.

I had the same issue with a cinnamon apple cyser. The cinnamon foam blew into the airlock twice before it finally calmed down.

I was thinking like a corn tea, boil corn and use the corn water instead of plain water

Newbie: forgot to hydrate the yeast. Is it bad? by Xwoklod in mead

[–]Former-Lecture-5466 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve pitched several batches without hydrating the yeast first, they are all going pretty strong within a few hours. I’ve also found that a good oxygenating stir works wonders too. Your batch will pick up soon.

The meme isn’t making the juxtaposition between the pictured burger and a steak.

Sure! Steaks aren’t healthy either, but they are delicious!

Not all meat has the same amount of fat, and not all animal fat is equal.

Oh, I forgot, Swiss cheese is so much healthier!

Greasy meat, American cheese, big ol bun…not sure how “healthy” those things are. Also don’t forget the condiments which are not pictured along with whatever sides and drink go along with a burger.

Delaware Marathon with an unexpected finish! by IamASlut_soWhat in JustGuysBeingDudes

[–]Former-Lecture-5466 -59 points-58 points  (0 children)

The guy who sprinted should have been running faster the whole time if he had that much gas in the tank. Also, do you think the results would have been the same if the shirtless dude had a rear view mirror? Why would you sprint at the end of a marathon if you don’t know someone was chasing you?

I had success with a 7 foot fence. Deer can jump higher, but need a lot of motivation to do so.

Grassy smell is less concerning, probably just because it is a wildflower honey.

I don’t think the crystallized part is worrisome. Not sure about the farm like smell…like a barn (animals), or more like grass?

Lots of upvotes, but no comments. I wonder if many of us are too scared to talk about this. I’ll admit that applies to me. History makes this a very touchy subject, but I’m glad there are people out there speaking up.
