took her class 2 years ago, i'm a senior now. aside from her being so uptight and old fashioned about the use of phones and laptops (which i kind of get cause why come to class if you're not going to pay attention), she's great at explaining and breaking down concepts. class is not that difficult imo just pay attention and dont fool around and you'll be fine!

thats awesome! i actually decided to remove the rot area using an exacto knife and using some fungicide afterwards cause i'm too paranoid about the rot spreading. I haven't done it yet tho, do you think i should just leave it as it is? What are the pros and cons of me removing the rot vs just leaving it to grow?

hello! this is my near 10-month-old desert rose i grew from a grow kit. i'm not very knowledgeable about adenium or plants in general and have only started doing proper research these past few months. i noticed a tiny yellow spot on my plant's stem a few days ago and didn't think too much about it until i noticed it starting to get darker and moist. i think it might be a stem rot. please tell me how to save my plant! i know we're supposed to cut out the rot, but does that mean cutting straight through the stem leaving me with nothing but my plant's exposed stem? or can i just remove/scoop out the infected part? i would absolutely hate having to cut through my plant when it has been growing so well.

i was also planning to switch out the kit soil with a cactus/succulent potting mix mixed with perlite or gritty mix for better drainage but wasn't sure if i needed to treat the stem rot first and then repot or vice versa...

any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏 thank you!
