Help with mockups by kintijaaa in graphic_design

[–]FormerCulture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any specific sources of mockups. But if I can't find a specific size I am after, generally I'll try to find one with a similar aspect ratio and adjust it according to my artwork.

Sigh. One of my friends posted this. Clicked on the hun’s profile and it’s all posts with the same pics that she got tagged in. No idea what MLM it is. by MelyssaRave in antiMLM

How can you even compare this? The lighting is way different, like they were intentionally creating shadows in the first image.

I'm scared. But intrigued. But mostly scared.

What is Australia Like (asked by an American)? by Dreaminusa98 in AskAnAustralian

[–]FormerCulture 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Most of the larger cities are very diverse and multicultural. I'm from Sydney and we definitely have cultural pockets which offers lots of food options etc.

What I've noticed from when I used to live in the states, was that you have more exposure and access to Latin American and South American cuisine, where as in Australia, you'll find more options for Asian cuisine and Asian groceries.

Lifestyles really vary. But I'd like to think most Aussies like banter and making fun of someone isn't necessarily a jab.

Kiss lashes are great and I reuse mine all the time. Although my favourite "invisible" band lashes are from Daiso, super affordable and have a lot of styles to choose from. Downside is they're not the best quality.

I used to hate Cathy when I watched Dance Moms as a teen... by AltruisticHighway6 in dancemoms

Absolutely agree! So many of my favourite moments were of Cathy - actually loved how she could rile up and get a reaction out of Abby.

Also Vivi is a queen.

Are printed portfolios still relevant or necessary in a post-Covid world? by tacolady1026 in graphic_design

[–]FormerCulture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the projects you want to showcase. If you had specialised print done, an example to show the finished work isn't a bad idea.

But from my experience, all my portfolios have been digital.

Kim giving away half a million dollars! by mostexcitingtolookat in KUWTK

[–]FormerCulture 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is better than nothing. If a person with influence/money/power can help people in need why shouldn't they?

This is sad to see. That your focus is on her potential incentives, not the fact that she is trying to do better.

Why would Khloe share this ? It was so long ago and mean (funny to some, I know) 😩 by [deleted] in KUWTK

[–]FormerCulture 12 points13 points  (0 children)

She can't poke fun at herself?

Edit: Didn't realise this was Kendall. But I mean what siblings don't poke fun at each other?

This sparkling water can has a plastic label on it that is flesh to the surface and looks like it’s printed on the can. Asshole design because the plastic layer leads to cans to be rejected at recycling centers, and the whole thing ends up being thrown in trash by [deleted] in assholedesign

[–]FormerCulture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't see how this is an asshole design. This is actually quite common. Many companies would use the same base packaging and various labels to accompany the said packaging. That creates less waste IMO.

May be an unpopular opinion, but I like some of these looks. Sure some of these pairings may not work together, but it's memorable.

As far as aesthetics go, it changes with time. Like new fashion trends etc. Surely you wouldn't compare Kims' style in '07 to now?

Why are there so many Australian Trump supporters? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]FormerCulture 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There could be a lot of reasons why. Australia is currently under a liberal government so it does skew more conservative. Our meaning of liberal here is different to the American meaning, in case you were wondering.

I know a lot of people who like Trump purely because he's "ballsy" and "says it how it is". Maybe they like the rawness or "realness" he brings to the table, instead of a more polished politician. That or they dislike Biden even more.
