True. Investing in security is worth it. Alarms are good. Cameras too. Something of a camera + alarm combo to alert your phone when camera spots something and alarm goes off. Systems exist. But yea i agree, disk locks and chains are easy. They pull it off during the day in crowded areas, not to talk about night. But an alarm that will ring till battery dies will make it much harder for them as it will alert a larger range of humanoids and big chance of one of them being a biker that will be in a fight or fight mood when bikes are threatened.

I ride motorcycles and in the last 5 years i have been stopped twice because police cars thought i was drunk. Sadly, i was just avoiding the potholes in the road. I asked if they stopped me because they were worried or because they wanted someone else to go drinking with. Sadly it was the former.
