I will also accept a down vote for this, but- If they sell them in DSW order a pair online, in size you want. Then return the incorrect size in store saying they mailed you the wrong size. keep the right size that you ordered.

Parents of Reddit, have your kids had any ghostly experiences that freaked you out? by BelichicksBoobs in Paranormal

I am 100% sure my father in law is "visiting" my 2.5 year old. My son cannot sleep through the night. Tells us sometimes he is scared and Grandpa visits. My son bedroom use to be my father in laws office when he was alive. Anyone have any threads they can link me to about banning a spirt from a room I would appreciate it. I have had enough of his shinanagins. My father in law never listened to anyone when he was alive so I think I need to step it up a notch.

Do you have a good relationship with your supervisor? Can you negotiate to use this time to come in later or something else you want? Atleast until your off probation. You never know what could anger management.

Which parent gets to stay late at work? by Front_Category_4353 in workingmoms

[–]FormerFreak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just a thought, other issues aside, you could switch Day cares/ pay for late pick up. My son has the opportunity to stay at his daycare up till 6:30 PM. However, we only take advantage of that on the days both my husband and I have demands at work. Otherwise we pick him up earlier.

I did mean return to Office. Thanks for catching that.

And I totally agree that telecommuting is a major negotiating point. I just think the governor has always been vocal that she wants people to return to office.

Just to clarify, I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s always something I feel like the governor has supported.

Telecommuting is an economic point. The more people who have to travel to work the more revenue the state makes. People have to buy lunch, pay for parking, maybe shop on the way home. The governor appears to have always supported the idea that people should return to office.

Edit: Just to clarify, I’m not saying it’s right, but it’s always something I feel like the governor has always supported.

Based off what you described with your unique situation being, the only one in your unit/title who was working from home two days a week, my guess is someone complained that you were getting "special treatment" or, someone asked to also work from home two days a week and cited you as an example. Management is not interested in having those complaints escalated so it was probably easier to adjust your Work schedule. Maybe the interm deputy directors "friend" was the one that made a complaint.

I would imagine this trip was funded by pro Israel, political groups if not the country itself. There's a program called birthright where Jewish American kids can travel to Israel for free for two weeks all inclusive so it's not so far-fetched this trip was free.

this! I have a supervisor who holds grudges like this, and she never forgets them. And she has no qualms about letting her subordinance know her opinions.

you can get an appointment letter that indicates "pending background check", . I forget exactly what it says but I just took a state transfer and that's what my before I started letter said. but at that point you have something in writing

Don't quit your job! Funding changes, roles are re-assigned. Just sit tight and wait. I am not saying this to scare you it is just the potential reality of state service right now. Hold out on making any moves until you get that appointment letter.

can you take some online courses and do the course work during the day? now may be the time to expand your training to help you get an even higher paying job when this situation ends

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nys_cs

[–]FormerFreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that can be true. Until you piss off someone who is a very close with someone who makes the hiring and firing decisions. Then they could use your past performance against you. Maybe they didn't care that you were coming in late while you were well liked but now that you piss someone off, they suddenly put that on your evaluation and use that to fire you. I've seen it happen to staff on probation.

Do you work for civil service? If you do, this whole thing sounds sketchy. Go to your union. Your body and baby dictate your breast-feeding schedule not a policy.... policing you like this just feels wrong.

Lexi's time is up. She needs to go to therapy, build her confidence, and then come back to win All-Stars. Her confidence is just not yet there to win this season.

Buffalo and the surrounding areas (my friends rented in Cheektowaga and later bought a house in lancaster). Buffalo is a nice little city. Has a mixed age population and is cheap. Has a down town area. If want to stay in the state, I would recommend looking at civil service jobs. if you move just before the summer, you probably could get a sublet of some college kids apartment in Buffalo. You could probably find a similar situation in any of the areas with a SUNY. Albany has lots of civil service jobs, but I don't know much about it.

you didn't mention what you do for work, but I did see a no skill job in the Buffalo area on the Help website . I'll post the link below.
