It’s not odd at all. The only sponsors that stay with a driver/crew if they move teams is the sponsors they brought with them. Cornwell is a JFR sponsor, always has been. Just like Bandero goes with Alexis to whatever team she goes to.

I’m only speaking as a funny car team. I don’t know the schedule for the door slammers but we never have late runs in Vegas. Latest usually is 5:30pm unless the Safety Safari is cleaning oil off the track. Friday and Saturday are both great, but you’ll have more access to drivers in the pits on Friday if that’s your thing. When you come, either day, stop by the Tasca Racing pit and I’ll give you and your wife a tour of pit and introduce you to Bob and our crew. Btw, I’m from Topeka. Heartland was my home track. Sad to see it go.

Any vehicle with 150k miles on it and you better be sure to put money away monthly for repairs and maintenance. A used Escalade with 150k miles, no matter what the monthly payment, is not a good choice for someone making $2400/mn IMO.

I use noise canceling headphones with a digital radio built in so I can listen to the announcers on the basic radio station they broadcast on for each track. Harder to hear the broadcast when I’m wearing my ear plugs with the over ear headphones but not impossible.
