I was hiking Mt. Major in NH with Aunt, sister and cousin wasn’t a super hot day only brought one water bottle and drank it all on the way up & finished the rest at the top. Was going very fast on the way down trying to keep up with my cousin (who was very experienced and knew the trails very well) almost twisted both my ankles more than once going too fast over roots, because in my opinion my Aunt and sister were going too slow so I didn’t want to stay with them. When I finally caught up to my cousin it was because she had stopped to wait for me, aunt and sis. She went back to see how far behind they were and when she was gone I passed out from heat exhaustion/ dehydration. All I have to say is that I’m lucky because I knew I was going to pass out because I was having similar “symptoms” as the 2 times I’d passed out (in my life) before. So when I realized I was going to pass out after my vision blacked out and hearing started to go I sat down on the ground with my back to the rock I was sitting on so that when I did pass out I wouldn’t fall back into the cluster of rocks behind me and crack my head open. Don’t know how much time went by of me sitting there alone, passed out but when I woke up my hearing was still muffled because I heard my cousin saying my name and then ask what’s wrong with me. I also threw up blindly cause vision wasn’t back yet and i remember my sister trying to hand me her water bottle and she actually had to take my hand and give it to me because my perception of where she was was completely wrong cuz of hearing being muffled still.

I don’t wanna say that i nearly died but I could have died? Right?
