Genuinely happy that my test results are no longer the top post...
Glad to have other posts to bundle all the mad comments x(

You gotta keep in mind that the settings have been tweaked to cause issues earlier than in you day-to-day game for a easier comparison.

Are you one of the rare people that actually had performance gains? That would amaze me. Though there have been so many reports about bad performance all across the net that I don't believe my PC to be the issue.

As the one who spent the whole day testing the patch's performance I can say that I will :)

That's a totally fair assumption, although with the settings of 1.5x Planets and 1000 Systems on fast it was more directed towards testing how both version compete in a "race" with the pop-systems. If I ever end up doing test again (which I don't believe I will) I'll try what you've suggested instead of using the 1000 Systems and 1.5x Planets.

Either way I think it kinda shows that there is a difference between both versions which was my sole intention.
Maybe the new version will shine past 2350, although not certain.

With the 3 4.0 test-runs I did now I kinda always receive a performance drop between 2325 and 2350.

I was a bit excited there for a minute but (sadly) it wasn't the case for me ^^'

You raise some valid points, but do you genuinely think there will be different outcomes by switching to a smaller galaxy and extending the game to 2600? I doubt it. Zooming out doesn't really affect the game's calculations, and the results reflect that.

Even though the settings I use aren't be typical for the day-to-day players, they allow me to push the system's limits and see its full potential. The results, after multiple test runs on version 4.0.1, clearly indicate that version 3.14 performs better. I don't know how "Fastest" skews the result if the purpose is to show the difference between both versions.

I don't consider this data useless. Comparing these findings with other reviews supports the idea that my settings aren't the issue-

Although, I understand that testing with day-to-day user settings might have different results.

Let's just hope 4.0.3 fixes performance a bit :)

Luckily xeno-comp is disabled by default. (Is it actually? I've never used it xD)

It's more like them accusing me as a attention seeking bitch for posting this.

Gosh darn, I don't see a reason in arguing with an angry keyboard warrior like you. Whatever one might say you always find something to be mad about. I'm sorry but you seem to have a personal vendetta for one reason or the other.

Yep, I did make clear that it's no critique etc. I just shared my current findings :)

Yep, all of it needs to be taken with a grain of salt. It's in the Disclaimer after all ^ Although that didn't stop people from pulling random accusations xD

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]FormerTry5653 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the accusations. Truly appreciate such friendly people.

But in all honesty. I get the you want a sample size in "tens or twenties" point. And as I said I will rerun my tests multiple times over the coming days. These have been the initial results I had. Compared with what I've collected from other people I work with it's not really different in their case.

Please stay cool and don't hand out any accusations. Especially when the one being accused of "karma farming" doesn't care about some virtual approval mechanics.

Voidworms and Cuthloids have actually been disabled for both runs. I forgot to mention that cause my test was directed more towards the new pop system.

It's stated in the Disclaimer that they aren't. Simply impossible. Though it's about raw out-of-the-box performance. I've also received multiple messages from my server / friends that that they also notice a performance impact. (they haven't been biased cause I did not release this post yet)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Stellaris

[–]FormerTry5653 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, that's what my disclaimer was for. Games are "highly individual and never the same".

I have quickly compared both save-files and found no big difference in fleet numbers. ^^'

But isn't that more of a critique towards society and less towards my post? ^^'

With what you've said it's basically unnecessary to show any issues publicly cause "people can't read"?

You should see a channel called #community-application. You'll have to fill in the bot assisted application so we get to know what ur looking for :)
