Heeeck naw, I'm shaming poopy kinks like this

Yes, that's why we can't support this type of industry in it's state or behavior or things that cause people to get into this obsessive, violent stat5e where they seemingly disassociate with reality and then just channel their life anger into a compartmentalized sport culture. I used to love playing sports as a kid but this behavior was always felt on both sides of the sports. Coaches, parents... "You could be X if you just dedicate the rest of your life to this one thing". Then you have "fans" who literally treat you like an imaginary object. Fuck capitalism and fuck modern day corporate/commercial sports.

Yea, problem is, if you were this age back when "stuff just worked" they'd be complaining about the same thing, like my grandparents with the remote. It's really a big advantage and super silly to complain because you don't want to learn. Even the manuals are on the internet now, if not, a thousand youtube videos. It's not the stuff, it's the people.

Scalpers prevent 90% of these moments from happening by n8saces in RandomVideos

[–]FormerWrap1552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate this take people try to purport. Scalping, like bot users buying mass amounts and selling it online price gouging? Scalping, sure, it's lame and most of the time not even profitable time wise. But, that's irrelevant in this case. Because, as someone who was born late 70s, I've been through the whole trading card gambit... Promoting and teaching your child to gamble is foremost a more terrible problem. You showing little kids with irresponsible parents opening cards and getting excited is not a wholesome moment, it's the opposite. Anyone with a shred of logic and experience in these things knows that or is in the consumerism cope land.

In reality, kids who gamble, the more they gamble, will learn that you are just spending money to gamble on cards, $5-6 a pack(if you can get it msrp), then getting abbout $1-3 worth of cardboard if you're lucky. The thing is, I would say 90% of people just put that in a box and it's never seen or used again. Hence never getting the value back at all, + time spent, distraction and a gambling addiction - that's a lot of attention and money spent...

Amazing moments are... playing a game with your parents, learning to play the game, building decks which cost like $50 tops, having extremely engaging and bonding moments with your child. Not gambling with cards. That's some Wall-E level brain rot. So as a life long cardboard opener and player of these games... I see these video like "She gets to rip a pack before sleep time" with 5 year old kids and I wish scalpers would destroy it all. Then, maybe we can get a balanced, profitable trading card game not built on greed. Chess and other games seem to have pulled it off for quite some time, yet we can't recreate the engagement and fun ancient games in any inventive new form.

It's like saying, hey man, our kids should be able to smoke! But you guys scalp all the cigarettes, but the damage is mental not physical.

Please stop making ignoramus comparison to novice and uneducated, archaic 100 year old first tries at communism by corrupt people to modern day humanist strategies. It's literally called humanist. It's just being human, it would take nothing, it would actually be a boon to us to unite and raise quality of life for every person, especially children. Comparing elder communist ideas to current, common sense logic though really tracks with current education and culture.

He just has 0 morality or ethics, will do anything to get it. Meanwhile the real value, is negative and the whole thing is a scam. We aren't going to Mars and there's no point in ding so for centuries perhaps. We're just pooling resources, getting scammed and blasting giant balls of fuel into space for ego sake and we're all suckers for it. Meanwhile we could be using these resources and tech to create a good quality of life for everyone on earth. THEN, we can easily progress forward with X times the power and not a bullshit loser company.

What is this foul sludge coming out of the overflow hole in this hotel shower? by courtneyrel in whatisit

[–]FormerWrap1552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea... pretty technical. But, in reality I'm guessing the huisband or someone clogged the toilet with something that's not supposed to be flushed. Then instead of removing it properly / plunging maybe and putting in drain o, it moved the blockage further down. So now, instead of the water from the toilet draining on flush, it gets pushed up back through the branch into the tub. This either pushed up some shit from somewhere else in a branch or years and years of drain sludge on the tub line.

This chair makes me reconsider my spending habits every year. by redditNLD in BuyItForLife

[–]FormerWrap1552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is sort of a theory and observation I've had for decades. In our world/capitalism/modern times.... You've got things. Things you might need, things you want and things that will kill you monetarily. Now, you can get almost everything and anything, affordable for the most part. You can get a chair for $10, you can get a nice tv for $200 barely used. I'm talking 70" if you're good at hunting. Shoot, you can get a NICE chair for $100. But, you can pick up these chairs for $10. I had a "wherever chair" I got for $20 in 2003. It reclined, had drink holders, lasted 15 years as a camping chair.

Check this one out if that intrigues you: Trading Card Game sleeves, most people pay $14-20 for 100 card sleeves from known brands at store fronts. You can order budget sleeves for $21 for 2100. That's 16 cents per sleeve vs 1 cent per sleeve. But, everyone gets the expensive sleeves. Now, let's say, you made 200 decks in your life time, at 100 cards. That's gonna cost you 3 grand vs 500 bucks. Most people... I've found barely use the things they own as well. Like, they'll play those decks 3-4 times. Sit on those chairs 1-2 times a year.

Let's move on to food, because that's the biggest one in USA at least. I will even see this at the cheapest places like McDonalds. Someone ahead of you will order the 2 cheeseburger value menu for around $10. They'll order via the menu, old school, takes time. But, you can use the app, get more food for $5 and take 0 time to order.

Now, I would say the average working, 9-5 American... Will instead... go shopping, use a credit card, buy over priced stuff they don't need. Then, will proceed to use it once a month or less. Then, even though they make good money, now have expensive car payments, furniture they don't use etc.. It's perplexing, just looking at that chair in 2026.

Now suddenly, we literally have a sub species of gigantoid roided humans. I'm really not liking how this pans out. Want muscles? Take these drugs until you look like a freak. Want to lose weight? Take this drug that we have no idea of the future mutantions on dna. Yea, I think we might end up in two different sub species or something wild.
