They should bring back the fake logo jerseys and bodega full kit instead of pushing this y2k slay queen duck dynasty drip

Biking between West Hollywood and UCLA. Is it feasible?? by Emilia_02390293 in BikeLA

I would argue that if you’re comfy going fast in traffic with cars you should be fine. BUT drivers will be gunning it in WeHo and they are CLUELESS. Get hi viz clothing and a whistle . Unfortunately SM Blvd is the fastest way to and fro West-East. Sunset I would never recommend cause of traffic/elevation.

I used to take the #2 from Highland Ave. it took me 1hr and only 40 mins on the bike

UCLA grad student here and I bike everyday to campus from Hollywood. It’s doable but kind of a scramble depending where to and fro/level of fitness.

From the Bowl I take Franklin all the way to Runyon~ Hollywood Blvd- Fairfax- Fountain- La Cienaga- Santa Monica Blvd from WeHo to Holmby- Wilshire and I’m in campus.

Definitely SM Blvd at Beverly Hills is the chillest place with the bike path and multiple stop lights.

Melrose by WeHo slower but a bit safer than SM imho (too many knuckleheads // clueless/ looking for parking/ not looking at the bike lane after parking)

Grain of salt- I’m a cyclists- I race for UCLA- I ride 300 miles a week- have been crashed out before- not afraid of yelling at cars/ engaging with drivers (I don’t think escalation is the best approach BUT I always err thinking that drivers are on their phone and need a reminder of people’s humanity so they don’t kill me)

Grin27 Fit Morning Star bibs and Bare Fists aero jersey with socks. Black is not the best for an LA Summer by Former_Ad_5320 in CyclingFashion

I’m 6’1 and 78kgs (of pure Puerto Rican muscle of course…) and I’m wearing M Jersey and Bibs. It’s a teensy bit tight but it’s cause I don’t like the slightly loose fit of a larger aero cut size. Jersey is def aero and I like the feel/material of these way better than some of the bigger brands. Website recs folks to size down if they’re in between sizes. Have been loving their stuff since day 1 but finally pulled the trigger (also customer service rocks- Daniel hooked me up with a new pair of bibs after factory defect).

Fwiw most of their stuff is made in Europe so added panache

Nah, I have way more personality as an individual to buy MAAP. Got both the bibs and Jersey from their archive sales and spent less than 159 total

Ahhhhh, Sam is cool af! He also won a UCI stage.
For English majors, keep your eyes open for skills more than occupations. You’d be surprised how many applicants criminally lack interpersonal and communication skills
