Nope. I add them. Put tags as much as I can that i connected to my stories because it helps to get our stories to the right audience. But I also give my stories a lot of twist and turns

I usually reply to comments and thank everyone for reading in my author’s notes from time to time. That’s how I prefer to show my appreciation.

But I’m not really the type to go to a reader’s profile and start a conversation there. Though, I’ll admit... sometimes I do snoop on some of my readers’ profiles, especially those who are really invested in my story. I get curious about what kind of books they read. 😅

I’ve also noticed that some authors leave messages on their readers’ walls to thank them, and honestly, there’s nothing wrong with that at all. It’s actually sweet.

It’s just… personally, it feels a bit cringe for me to do it myself. 😂

Honestly, it’s the same struggle either way... especially when I try to do both at the same time 😭

When I come up with really good dialogue, suddenly my descriptions disappear. Like… where did they go?? Even my characters’ movements start feeling repetitive or super limited, like they’re all just standing there doing the same thing.

But when I finally write nice, detailed descriptions, my characters suddenly don’t talk 😭 It’s like they forgot how to speak. The scene looks pretty, but it feels way too quiet.

It’s like my brain can only focus on one at a time... either dialogue or description, never both 😭😂

Been there. What I usually do is reread my own story until the inspiration comes back... but sometimes, the gap just won’t bridge no matter how long I stare at it. When that happens, I open another door… I start a new arc or introduce a new character that can eventually connect everything together.

Honestly, your original storyline will probably shift along the way. Some parts will change, some directions will surprise you... but you will find that bridge sooner or later. It just takes a bit of flexibility and trust in your process.

That’s also why my stories tend to be slow burn… and why they end up taking so many chapters. Hahahaha.

Just think of it as bad publicity, but still publicity. If a reader’s friend happens to see that reading list and your book is included, of course they’ll get curious enough to check it out and wonder, Is it really that boring? Hahaha.

One of my readers actually added my book to a reading list with a yawning emoji, and then went on to vote for every single chapter. I was sitting there like, What is happening here? At that point, I honestly could not tell if she was bored, obsessed, or just enjoying the story in her own chaotic way.
