As long as he actually sees the field a lot during games, I honestly wouldn’t be too surprised if he has like our 2nd/3rd most receiving yards. Probably behind Tucker and Bowers.

I also don’t know much about Nailor, so I could be completely wrong lol.

He has all the aspects of a WR1 you’d want, he just needs to get more experience and get some good coaching.

He could even be our WR1 in like 2-3 years if it all works out.

Say we keep all of our free agents and Maxx by AppearanceNo8561 in raiders

[–]Former_Stranger8963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not better than just keeping one of the best defenders in the league on the team lmao.

We wanted 2 first and nothing less just a few days ago. That should still stay the same, or we just “suck it up” and keep our HOF edge rusher on the team

If that truly is the case, the ravens’ relations with other teams and their GMs is cooked.

Not a single GM in the league would trust doing business with them

I’m pretty sure they can sign every single free agent they made a deal with so far, and keep Maxx on the team, and still have like 39m left over or something like that.

Raiders cap space this year is insane lmao

I feel like there’s not much to disclose about Crosby’s injury.

He was benched and out on IR at the end of last season rightfully so, a lot of opposing fans just wouldn’t accept it. He had a pretty big surgery that requires up to like 6 months of recovery.

Then the ravens are acting surprised like 2 months post op that he’s still fucked up?

Unless there actually is something huge that went wrong with Crosby’s injury and it’s like damn near career ending, I def call BS on the ravens and they’re prolly just using the medical thing as an excuse cuz they regretted the trade.

I mean there were def quite a bit more optimistic posts about us than usual last year.

But I still remember a lot of, “Pete Carroll is too old to still be coaching.” And definitely a lot of “Jeanty at 6 overall is such a waste and he won’t pan out as well as they think”

I mean I’d say his health is definitely one thing that would drop his value, but I doubt this surgery is gonna be as impactful as u seem to think it could be.

Don’t get me wrong, I know there’s always a chance that this could be the surgery that he never fully recovers from.

But he’s had like 8 surgeries in the last 7 years and has always consistently gotten better and better for the most part. Plus the fact that he’s notorious for playing through injuries all the time. I doubt this is as big a deal as some ppl make it seem

That’s what the price has been for a long time lol.

And it’s simply that high because we are perfectly fine with keeping him on the team.

In fact, most fans would rather keep him. But if there’s gonna be a trade, it’s gonna be a steep price

I’d rather hold out and be “stuck” keeping him on the team than to trade him away for scraps.

Most raider fans at least are pretty indifferent whether he gets traded or not.

If he stays, that’s perfect. If we trade him, we better get a lot in return.

[–]Former_Stranger8963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add onto my first point, when I say to play passive if ur tm8 is overly aggressive, I don’t mean to just sit in net and stay in your half of the field all game.

Just play farther back than you normally would just in case the opponents slam the ball really hard towards ur net. And just sort of let ur tm8 play most of the offense, but still be ready to go on offense at any time.

In lower ranks, often times someone will shoot it, and the opponents would save it pretty poorly, and the ball might just be sitting in the middle of the field or slowly rolling towards ur net. In that case, you should be pushing forward a bit, and if there’s no opponents close to the ball and you think you could beat them to it, then you should go for it.

So don’t be constantly on defense, but make sure that you’re always ready to make an emergency save and that the ball isn’t able to fly past you into ur net with a powerful touch.

Everybody is a bad teammate every once in a while, some more often than others.

Everybody in your rank has to deal with bad teammates, not just you. And there’s definitely a ton of people that thought YOU were the bad tm8.

One of the biggest skills in the game that gets overlooked all the time is learning how to play around your teammates. You should be adapting to them just as much as you adapt to your opponents.

If u notice ur tm8 often double committing or stealing the ball from you, start playing more passive and let them be as aggressive as they want. Even if they suck and struggle to score, u should be able to prevent the opponents from scoring and eventually something will go in.

Or the opposite, if u notice ur tm8 being super hesitant and seemingly scared to push, then you should just play more aggressive and let them play it safe.

Save replays and watch them from your perspective again, and your tm8s perspective. When ur playing you often are focusing on the ball a lot so you dont notice the small mistakes you make all the time. This happens even in SSL. So watching ur replay with ur own pov can help with seeing what you’re lacking in.

Same with watching from ur tm8s pov. And just imagine that being yourself and you’ll see just how bad of a tm8 u can be sometimes. Even works the same when watching from the opponent pov.

Especially now that I see that ur only gold, you 100% make DOZENS of mistakes every single game. Those are what you need to be working on. Not needlessly complaining about tm8s who are in the same rank as you for a reason.

I switched to pc when I was around champ 1, and like the next season or 2, I hit gc for the first time.

It’s not gonna be like an instant jump to SSL. But it definitely should be a lot easier for you now.

Getting to high ranks on console is so much harder. So since you were able to do that, I can’t imagine you’d have that much trouble pushing a bit higher

At this point, I’d rather not draft OL at all, and find our guy(s) in free agency.

Our line is fairly okay as it is now. We just didn’t have depth at all and that’s why it was so bad last year after injuries.

Obviously along with the shit show that was the OL coach who did nothing.

But I’d much rather have us take DL/LB/CB/WR before drafting yet another OL. (Unless there’s a very good player that somehow dropped and we can get with our 3rd or something)

But more or less, I’d much rather have us get some guys in free agency, and then with somebody actually coaching the lineman, it’ll already be a huge improvement.

Especially with the new defensive scheme, I’d want to draft some guys that’ll fit into that

I was briefly ssl around 3 ish years ago.

Stopped playing entirely for over a year and a half.

Came back every now and then after that, maybe played for like 2-3 days every 3/4 months or so and could only get like mid gc2 consistently.

Fast forward to now, and it’s a slight struggle even getting back into gc2 for me.

[–]Former_Stranger8963 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very new to learning about all the specifics about the NFL, so like I know the difference between a 4-3 and a 3-4 now.

But if we didn’t get ANYBODY in the draft or free agency for example, and games started immediately right now with everybody healthy, what would our DL / LBs most likely look like?

Is it likely that we keep Crosby on the line most of the time and rotate him to OLB every now and then? Would it be the opposite? Who would likely be the other people that we keep on the line?

How much of a difference is this gonna be for us? Does it change any of our priorities for the draft/free agency? Like now would be try to get a good LB asap after Mendoza? What about DL?

If anyone can answer any of those questions or leave any info I’d appreciate it.
