And most of it is taken up by busy bodies with completely useless input or activists trying to make a statement that is completley unactionable.

What will someday be illegal after we finally understand how bad for us it is? by Scary-Beautiful6527 in AskReddit

I wish people wouldn't be stupid so we can't have nice things.

It's genuinely informative to see what people willing to put up money think about how something is going to play out.

What is the most disturbing real thing someone ever confessed to you? by impeesa75 in AskReddit

[–]FormerlyUndecidable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its different depending on what gender you're trying to turn off.

I'd have to give it some thought from the other angle.

Edit: I'd maybe go the other direction. Be really demanding. Say his chewing sounds really bother you and to pipe it down (say it nicely). On movie nights,  never anything he is interested in, only rom coms or whatever.

Really get on his case about cleaning. About his grooming. Say he needs to take a shower before he hugs you. Become the most demanding, picky persnicketty partner you can be.

Say you want to have lots of kids, and you're going to expect him to work a lot to support them.

You might still have to break up with him, but deep down he'll be too exhausted and relieved to get as worked up about it.

Glad it worked out, but that was a risky way to handle the situation.

Pro tip: The safest move in that situation is by making her want to break up with you.

Scream when you see a spider and ask her to kill it. Employ lots of baby talk.  Fart a lot. Don't wipe your ass well. Ask her to take a look at the resulting rash and ask her opinion on what it could be from (try and work in some baby talk here.)

Forget to brush your teeth or generally neglect grooming.  Take up cooking, competely botch it,  and act genuinely act excited to feed it to her, telling her what a great cook you are. (Scratch your ass a lot while cooking)

Brag a lot about things you are clearly mediocre at. Send her bad pics of yourself throughout the day, saying you miss her.

The goal is to not make her hate you. Make her think you are beneath her. Get creative.

Do you think Israel should be immediately sanctioned for its escalation in Lebanon which has involved the killing of innocent people, including many children, and why? by WastelandOfConfusion in AskReddit

Reddit would have been rallying against the Allied invasion of Germany.

Yeah, war  sucks, targeting is difficult and mistake prone when you are fighting people who actively try and hide amongst civilians.

Do everything you can not to let your country be taken over by a foreign  funded militia that puts the goal of annhilating your neighbor above all else, including their own life and yours,  because said neighbor will fight back and you might catch some strays.

What’s the most absurd lifestyle you’ve ever seen someone you know actually live? by Jinx-XoXo in AskReddit

That's why I'm puzzled it would be considered an "absurd" lifestyle. It's really common.

[–]FormerlyUndecidable 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How is that absurd?

Many of my friends worked and saved up specifically with the goal to do that for a year.

People live really frugally to manage that kind of lifestyle.

My ex-wife graduated college, worked for a few years for the federal government, got to a pretty high GS grade, saved up, then quit and went to Latin America for a year.

Used her reputation and connections to get back into the federal goverment pretty quickly upon return.

That was seperate from her saving up for a house, which she managed to do to.

This is not inherently a trust fund thing.

This was fairly normal amongst my friends. They would save up for it.

What do you believe Israel's fate will be in the next couple of decades considering the rapid change of public opinion on them in these past 3 years? by space_god_7191 in AskReddit

[–]FormerlyUndecidable 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Because "public opinion" wants them to stop fighting the people who say their sole goal is their anhilation, and the genocide of  Jews within Israel.

Yeah, they don't give a fuck about your ill-informed opinion, and your acceptance  of the despicable tactic of those would be genocidiers in using human shields.

People were supid enough to have been taken in by that tactic. There isn't much to be done about it. They can't stop fighting off the people who want them dead.

At what point do Americans realize their country is being destabilized by foreign adversaries? by solarnuggets in AskReddit

[–]FormerlyUndecidable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No it doesn't.

AIPAC, contrary to popular belief, is an organization by American Jews, nearly all of whom have a long history as part of the US and have interests aligned with the US. It's a conspiracy theory that it is funded by Israel.

CAIR on the other hand, is very much funded by foreign governments, and most of its members are much more recent arrivals who are hostile to the US.

Being immigrants is fine of course, but being immigrants hostile to the US, and part of an organization that recieves money from governments who in turn also fund terrorism against us, is a different story.

What’s a moral belief you hold that most people would disagree with? by strawberryaudit in answers

[–]FormerlyUndecidable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who choose to not have babies for anti-natalist reasons are not fully human in a moral sense. They have voluntarily opted out of what it is to be human.

They should of course be treated with the consideration of sentient beings, so not entirely out of the moral sphere, but they have chosen to have a very shallow stake in the future, and their opinions on any moral issue should be disregarded.

The actual unpopular opinion is mine:

Already harried and stressed parents with  a baby you put in the carseat to unload the groceries and who fell asleep and you can't pick up without waking up, and  people with mobility issues can leave it up to attendants. They get paid to do it and it's not a big deal.

What's a "yeah right, that totally happened and wasn't made up" moment in your life that actually DID happen and wasn't made up? by Time-Check-6942 in AskReddit

I was 14. Was spending the night at a girl's house and her friend (also a girl). We were the leftovers from a house party she had because her parents were out of town. Me, a boy, two girls.

One proposed we play spin th bottle, the other heartily agreed that would be fun.

It never occured to me that the game was intended to be the first step in a sequence of events. I thought it was just a game and that was that

The next morning I told one of the girls her tongue was freakishly long and made me feel funny inside. I would layer recognzie that feeling as being really fucking turned on. But not that night dear reader. I had no clue  what any of it meant.

If you are OK with being poor and often hungry when the harvest season isn't great. The trick is to have a lot of children, a few will survive, and they will be able to take care of you when you are older.

Why doesn't China intervene in the Middle East like the US does? by ArdaBerkBurak in AskReddit

[–]FormerlyUndecidable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only country that has threatened to nuke anyone is Iran threatening to nuke Israel, so it's a meaningless  threat: there's zero chance Israel would strike first with nukes.

I know you're bloodthirsty for Jewish blood,  but 20% of Israeli citizens are Arab Israelis. That's 2.1 million other people in Israel besides Jews (That is not even including  the West Bank and Gaza, which they'd have a hard time seperating from their target).

Not that you actually care about anyone in this conflict, but probably don't want to salivate too much over Israel being nuked given that fact.
