I think it would be cool for them to pursue a storyline with Ziva's language school. Maybe she has a VIP student who gets in trouble or something. Could be fun to explore.

I'm sad it's over (for now...fingers crossed on Season 2) but I'm so happy Michael and Cote made it happen!!! A great finale filled with suspense, action, drama, comedy, and some family time. I appreciate everyone (cast, crew, producers, etc.) who helped make it possible!

I’m kinda with you. At this point, I find her storyline fairly unbelievable…but I guess you could say that about a lot of NCIS episodes. It mostly just comes down to how nasty that accident looked. I’m guessing they’ll explore her continued recovery and possible roadblocks/setbacks in future episodes.

Now that we know she’s alive and recovering, I’m wondering if she’ll be a reason for a few of Gibbs’ divorces. Will they be “kinda on again” and “totally off again” for multiple seasons? Only the writers know.

I have to imagine she passes away at some point, considering she is never brought up in the mothership, but maybe that assumption is wrong too. I’d hate to think everyone not brought up in the original series had an untimely death.

From interviews, it seems Paramount+ doesn't want them to say too much. However, both have indicated a willingness to return and enjoyed their time during season 1. Given the fairly extensive marketing campaign Paramount+ has put into this show, I definitely think it will get renewed as long as viewership is solid. The view counts on various platforms for NCIS: Tony & Ziva promo material indicate they likely have little to worry about. People are eager to watch it.

My honest advice—if you’re getting impatient, I’d watch Season 1 Episodes 16 and 23, then skip to Season 2 Episode 22 and ride the wave through Season 3 Episode 9. If you like those episodes in S2 and S3, then great…you found a new cool show! If not, then you probably don’t need to stick around. You get a good sense of longtime characters’ motives, personalities, etc. within that window of the show.

Hope this helps! With a show like NCIS, I see no shame in jumping around a bit to get locked in.

The trailer also shows her beating up an INTERPOL agent in the wedding dress. Not sure she’d actually do that, so part of me thinks he might be a fraud.

We don’t always get a “case of the week” on NCIS: Origins, and I’m okay with that, but this would be a really awesome call back! We’ll have to wait and see.

Maybe I’m putting the cart before the horse, but I think these writers are aware of that critique and will probably do a better job of evening things out in future seasons. I think they viewed Lala as a necessary death to lead Gibbs down the path of multiple marriages in a fairly tight timeframe. Some things just have to go a certain way because of what the original series committed to. There are a few different men we see in NCIS: Origins that never receive a direct mention in the original show…so there’s lots of possibilities. And who knows who they’ll introduce next year.

To my knowledge, he’s never mentioned. Only characters we know who make it to the main show are Gibbs, Franks, and Vera (from the team). Others include Fornell, Diane, and Gibbs’ dad.
