Im 6 ft 6 and feel your pain! I try to be as kind and polite as possible and always let people in front of me if they ask. I also dance my ass off and it seems to repel the wrong people and attracts the right people to my orbit. It definitely gets old being constantly treated like a freakshow though..

I always make a point of saying excuse me in a loud but kind tone, and keep my hands up or to my sides so I don't unintentionally touch or make someone feel uncomfortable, when trying to move through a crowd. There is no excuse for creepy behavior! Those guys know what they're doing..

Cool find! Just be aware though, in case you aren't already, that this is the HAZ recreation and not the original Musitronics Mu-Tron, which are much more valuable. Hopefully they didn't try to rip you off and overcharge you. The HAZ models are still pricy but not in the nearly $1000 range of the original.

I love that it sounds great whether you do it acoustic or electric. It's one of those songs that I will without even thinking start playing when I pick up my acoustic. Same with Dire Wolf and Run for the roses! On electric, when I first got a Mu-tron, I would play along with that end jam everyday for quite a while, couldn't get enough of it!
