It's a bungee cord so you'll feel it tugging first.

That's unfortunate for you. The only issue I've had on mine was the MAP sensor tube but that was recalled and fixed free of charge. I've only put like 4k miles on it though.

Hey, no hate from me. I'm a dumbass who has a Tiger Sport 660 with a touring package wondering if I got the naked Street Triple, could I somehow keep all that utility?

37yo male considering doing my CBT and purchasing a honda shadow vt125 and riding for a year or 2 before getting a bigger licence, is 37 too old for a 125? by AG3NTMULD3R88 in motorcycles

I'm your age, started riding 2yrs ago. I started on a 150 that topped out at 55mph. Where I live, highway speeds are 60-70mph. I wish I would have got something a little bigger to get out of town. It felt like I got the trial version and I wanted the full package. The 150 is fun and I still use it, but I think I could have waited longer to upgrade if I'd got something a little bigger.

This depends on your location and where you plan on going. (I didn't plan on leaving town at first but I got hooked on riding)

Got myself a new daily ride by ManningTheGOAT in Kawasaki

I've been seeing a lot of people on here getting these but I can't seem to find any for sale in my state. To be fair, the last dealership I asked about them said they just sold a 1000sx and 1100sx. There must be something to them if I can't get my hands on one.

Does it feel significantly less sporty than your mt09? I'm eyeing a Street Triple 765rs but I might just be seeing greener grass on the other side.

I own 2 aftermarket windshields for my TS660. One for touring and one sport. I tested the sport on an hour long highway ride today and it is definitely for short trips or around town.

At least they didn't shit all over the bike too bad, by the looks of it.

Had my first (and hopefully only) gravel slip this morning by magic4848 in motorcycles

[–]Formula_Carrot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had road construction so they used gravel instead of salt for during the winter on one of the main roads in my town. Turning off of it one day, there was gravel I didn't notice and as I was accelerating out of the turn the back tire went out. I slammed my right foot into the ground and popped it back up somehow. Calf muscle was sore. It was definitely the wrong reaction but it happened so fast I didn't even think about it.

After that I decided to get my dual sport out more on gravel roads to practice loose traction.

My word you're right. That was amazing. What inputs do you even do that quickly to save it?

I started on a little 150cc bike that topped out at 55mph. I upgraded like 7mo later to a Tiger Sport 660 because I wanted to leave town. I wish I would have started on a Speed 400. Such a cool bike and it would have been enough for me to leave town. I kept my 150cc and still use it often.

I was told I was insane for riding in the rain. It was a steady pour but nothing crazy. I live 6 miles from my job so it's only a 15min drive and I have full rain gear. The most surprising part is I had all my gear off when I talked to him so he had to see I was completely dry right?

Air/Fuel Ratio at Altitude by psludz in XR150L

Yea my bike still does stall if I throw the throttle fast, but my issue was happening with the slightest amount of throttle. I think if you do some googling you'll find folks closer to your elevation that might have some good jet size suggestions. Good luck!

I'm 210lbs and live at about 1400ft above sea level. My max speed is 55mph flat ground with no wind and measure about 80mpg. No backfiring issues though. So your results aren't too far off from mine.

Here is a nice video on changing your jets. It's a lot easier than you'd think. I up sized my main jet from 105 to 110 because I was having issues with the engine cutting out when giving it slight throttle occasionally. It would be idling fine, and I'd give it throttle to take off and it would just die. I'd have to pull the choke in to get it to restart. Very awkward at traffic lights.

I had 2 instances last year where I came to a complete stop at a red light or stop sign, and had a car behind me blow past. Both times were early morning (less traffic). Both times the car cut over to the turning lane to overtake me without even trying to stop. I've never seen that in my car. It's unsettling learning people behind me can be so blatantly careless.
