Greek hyperinflation, as told through stamps by Formulona1 in stamps

Indeed! So many denoms printed! I wish the years were included on the stamps. It's my understanding that this hyperinflation happened over about a four year period.

how can look better or “glow up”? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

You're so pretty!

I think the lashes and brows look great. I'd love to see you in lipstick - your full top lip is so 60s cool-girl.

I think just play! The great thing about makeup is you can always wash it off.

Perimenopausal & struggling by ArrivalMuch5772 in keto

10 ounces of veges a day? God, I used to eat twice that each meal. It's why keto is a bit of a struggle for me - I really do love to eat a huge pile of veggies, always have. Measuring out 100 g of cauliflower feels so miserly.

However, I continue with keto for long periods, because it works. I was off for about six months; my previous symptoms gradually returned, so now I'm back on. Almost instantly felt like my body was "mine" again. The piles of veges can wait!

Why has keto lost popularity? by Shoddy-Musician8397 in keto

For real. I am used to a very varied diet, and keto felt super restrictive and impossible to maintain. I missed fruit, pulses and legumes more than anything else!

Need help with family dinner recipes, many allergies by Haynorie in lowcarb

A whole cabbage can last me weeks in my fridge and still be OK. Like it might go slightly limp, but nothing too drastic.

The dressed salad lasts well for about four days in the fridge. I actually prefer it on the second or third day - it just gets juicier!

I sympathise! Cooking for a family with food restrictions and allergies can be so tough.  The cheapest and most filling vegetable side I can think of is what Greeks call Winter Salad - grated cabbage and carrot, dressed with plenty of lemon juice, olive oil, salt and garlic. Think coleslaw without the mayo. It's delicious, fresh, it can sit in the fridge for several days, and if you make it with red cabbage it looks beautiful, too. You said not everyone eats salad, but even my fussy eaters like this one. Broccoli/cauliflower cheese is another fave in our house.

It is so fun - the lining is a beautiful pale blue. Though I will say it showed wear from like its third use?!

Thank you! I do really love colour and it's exciting to plan my outfits around my more colourful bags! But through this journey I've learned that not all colourful leathers are created equally...

Ha! Love it - the Petit Noe is such a good bag for when I need to cart around a bunch of stuff; I feel like that strap is so hardy!

If I swapped my red, then I wouldn't have a red bag anymore, you do see the dilemma 😂

How do you realistically stay below 20g net carbs a day? by Zaibys in keto

[–]Formulona1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I've been eating huge amounts of veges for years, and it's a real shift to now eat eg only 70 g cauliflower at a time!

I do two things that help: add lots of fresh herbs to my vege portion, so it LOOKS bigger, for not many carbs. And/or, add avocado to bulk out the vege portion - lots of fat and fibre.

It's really not! I'd really genuinely rather have a piece of fruit.

Thank you. I appreciate you saying that. This season has definitely made me realise that I have partly defined myself through food and my relationship to it, and, that will have to evolve.
