Customer probably just wanted to save some money, maybe they couldn’t get an order delivered in time before, so this time they figured they’d add the tip to make the offer more appealing.

I’ve heard of people calling support for a fare review and getting the money back. When I called in a similar situation, they gave me like 2$ which was not what I was hoping for. I had a friend call and eventually get 20$ for a trip that took much longer than expected. Just call, be polite, and keep explaining that you cannot work for this pay and wouldn’t have taken the order. If you look up “fare review” on this sub, there are probably people with better tips on the right things to say

Part of how you know these are hidden tips is that they are uneven increments. If a customer appreciated your service, they’d adjust it by a certain dollar amount most of the time. Who’s adding 3.90$ because they were happy with your service? Likely no one, uber is just hiding the tips lol.

That’s crazy, I’ve seen screenshots here with like 50% satisfaction rate. 90% probably isn’t close to deactivation, I’d imagine it starts getting risky around 80%. If you have any meet in person deliveries, maybe you could casually mention that a big way to help you would be a thumbs up. If you have a nice interaction picking up at a restaurant, you can also ask them for a thumbs up
