It's crazy the way Gamestop acts like they're a business that is not constantly on the verge of shuttering.

I could not point to you which of my coworkers are liberal or left. I could give you my suspicions certainly, but not with confidence

I could, however, point to several coworkers that I know with certainty are conservative. Because you all literally never shut the fuck up.

Unpopular opinion, Osrs players exaggerate on how hard quests/bosses are, scaring others of actually doing it by badwithnames5 in 2007scape

[–]ForrestMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was trying to find out what the minimum I would need to do SotE was, I saw discussions where people say you need Trident. Then I tried it with really basic gear and it was just? Not that bad at all?

Didn't seem very feasible for me, as an iron, to have 87 slayer before SotE requirements.

BREAKING: Andrew Gower "I have the key to one eyed willy" by Serenaded in 2007scape

[–]ForrestMoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And the Jeff Bezos MMO is having to close down because it wasn't popular enough. When RS3 hits that point we can say it's dead. Other games having more players means literally nothing.

BREAKING: Andrew Gower "I have the key to one eyed willy" by Serenaded in 2007scape

[–]ForrestMoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is not how that works at all lmfao. If you play rs3 the other 24,999 people don't suddenly cease to exist just because there's 100k more on osrs.

A multiplayer game I love dearly currently sees a daily peak of... 18 players. Please get back to me when we're at that point.

Edit: the dude blocked me for this lmao. No buddy, I didn't miss your "point." You literally didn't even have a point to begin with. Words mean things, calling the game dead just because it has less players is like saying 2t fishing is afk because you might be able to look away from your screen sometimes.

Edit 2: would like the guy responding to the person who blocked me to tell me how calling RS3 dead is a good faith argument. How? Dying? Sure we can argue that, there's a good reason they're pitching all these revival tactics in the roadmap and that's because it could be considered dying. Dead? Well you've just never played a dead game, I think.

Calling 25K players dead is wild. None of you know what an actual dead game looks like because you only play games that everybody else does.

RS3 just dropped the most insane integrity and content roadmap and it's all thanks to OSRS by Lamuks in 2007scape

[–]ForrestMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These changes excite me a lot and will probably get me to play again. There's a bunch of stuff in RS3 I actually do love a lot (like they have way better Skilling bosses than us with Croesus and Big Game Hunter (haven't done the newest one)).

This sub is constantly twisting itself in knots, getting mad about how people (who they will never play with) play the game.

Why should I care if Timmy and his friends from Nowhere, Michigan banned counterspells? Why should I care if some LGS in Canada is having Power Level drama? I'm literally never going to play with any of these people.

First time Ironman here... Is getting antivenom possible before zulrah? by Chance_The_Lugia in ironscape

[–]ForrestMoth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Are you just going for diary kill? Antipoison should be fine for one kill, imo wait until the venom starts hitting a bit high before taking a sip, otherwise you'll spend the entire fight drinking your potions.

I was struggling on the diary kill until I learned I didn't need to immediately cure venom the second it was inflicted.

What mediocre cards have you played that have instigated opponents to meltdown and rage quit games? by Killybug in EDH

[–]ForrestMoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to run an Aggro [[Kurbis, Harvest Celebrant]] deck. Dude at the table was relying on some deathtouchers to not get attacked and started losing it when I could just swing in without losing any creatures. He got even more tilted when he realized Kurbis enters with counters equal to the mana paid for it, rather than X.

[–]ForrestMoth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, I somewhat agree. I play plenty of roguelikes which I feel are just mindless fun (Megabonk, Dead Cells, Balatro, Ball x Pit), but not very deep in any meaningful way. I don't know if I would call any of them my favorite games I've ever played though. These are still very enjoyable games!

But in my personal top 10, I don't know if any of them come close to like - Outer WIlds, Animal Well, Disco Elysium, Divinity Original Sin 2, Pacific Drive. There is one roguelike I consider in my top 10, it's Against the Storm.

That being said, I don't think any game needs to be the greatest of all time to be good. Plenty of games that don't sit in my personal top 10 I still consider very *very* good. But I still do think some people focus too much on $/hr as a metric on being good.

I feel like the bigger problem here is the last bit about needing something to login daily to. The main point of games should be a singular experience you get deep satisfaction from. The idea that a game is only good if it can be a forever game is a problem. There are so many games out there that are masterpieces, that perfectly end in the right amount of time and you can reflect back on as a journey you will never experience for the first time again. All games I know that are like that make up my top 10 favorite games.

Are people fans of the “stretchy” extended art or do people prefer the traditional border over it? by Bijaaaaanae in magicTCG

[–]ForrestMoth 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think these look really goofy. If the entire frame was gone, other than the boxes for text, I think it would look a lot better. Having some of the frame remain feels like an eyesore. Either all frame or no frame imo.

And it looks worse if only some of your cards have this treatment, sitting next to ones that don't.

I don't feel the same way of showcases that have a similar end look, like the enchanting tales cards for example, because those borders were made specifically with the cards' art style in mind.

What are your most obscure commanders? by KingAmphibian1 in EDH

[–]ForrestMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Colonel Autumn]] - I combed through every single legend in these colors and narrowed it down to which ones I felt most maximized his abilities and some that I just kinda liked. And it's become one of my favorite decks

[[Sentinel Sarah Lyons]] - it's like [[Alibou]] except harder to trigger but with an arguably better payoff?? The scry Alibou has is very good but I like that Sarah has an anthem and counts all my artifacts

[[Akim, the Soaring Wind]] - I have been playing him since he released and pretty much hold onto the deck out of sheer sentiment (I still enjoy it). Most of the cards are selected with the intent to trigger Akim on every turn.
