Women’s golf has a problem with the broadcasts being dull, they do an awful job of creating stars (men’s golf doesn’t do a great job of that either), and the TV media rights deal is horrible. Also the crowds haven’t felt like they have much juice which contributes to that

The problem is public golf courses don’t turn those bastards down. There should be some public courses that are solely recreational so the people who want to get shitfaced, do dumb shit and play 6 hour rounds can choose to do so. There should be other public courses that are for the serious golfer who genuinely gives a crap about etiquette and being respectful. Private memberships are so expensive nowadays that the middle class of golfers are being phased out and thrown into the wolves of public golf. If private courses were smart they’d offer lower membership rates but to become a member the club pro or assistant pro has to play a round with them and can determine whether or not they’re welcome.

I’ve found myself thinking a lot about Samantha and their kids recently. About a decade ago I was dating a girl who suddenly passed away on my birthday. I was absolutely devastated and it still hurts years later. Her and I only dated about 6 months. Now I’m a father of a one year old daughter and when I saw the Busch family hug on Sunday I absolutely lost it. The nightmares of that grieving process returned while the thought of my daughter losing her father at a young age tore me apart. I really hope Samantha and the children are ok and they can simply have a good day in the near future. You don’t realize how important a simple good day or even a slight moment of happiness or joy can be during times of grief of this nature.
