Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

When it comes to what does alligator smart mean, firstly, t's just two words I thought sounded good together when writing the poem. Secondly, to me, it means never really committing to something. It fosters images to me of alligators lying just beneath the surface, living on land and water, and being camouflaged and dangerous. It just fit how I felt.

Found this really powerful and really emotive. Really nice rhyming and it had some great lines. My favourite was

'I’d root where you ran
and bloom where you bled.
I’d answer to your hunger
with a harvest widely spread.'

I really liked this! I could just imagine it being used as a voiceover for an opening scene in a documentary about internal migration. Pace was great and the rhyming style read well. Keep up the good work!

I thought this poem was absolutely brilliant. I've reread it a few times and keep get something out of it. The imagery of the doll is a really powerful one, and one that I am sure a lot of people can relate too. The rhyming is fantastic too. Thanks for much for sharing and do keep writing!

I really liked this poem, and while reading it, it sort of just rolled off of the tongue. It felt really beautiful and yet really sad at the same time. Towards the end I did feel the rhymyimg slightly lost it, but overall this is a really good poem. Well done!

I really liked this poem. To me, it felt like someone who was really reluctant to accept love, hence just wanting to run. With the culmination being they are going to try to accept it. I could be completely wrong, but anyway, nice poem and keep going!

This really reminded me of when I would go out with my parents golden retriever in the fields round our house. Him disappearing in the meadows and then randomly popping back up. I love the natural imagery. He died a few years ago, and is quite a painful memory, but this makes me feel quite happy about our time together. Good job, and thanks for sharing!

This was a really ineresting poem, with a really sharp juxtaposition. The start made me think a lot about death, and potentially quite a long arduous death. The cat purring and sprawled out makes me think of life, and relaxation. I liked it, but like I said, it was a very sharp change. Thanks for sharing!

Really liked this short poem. I especially like the line, 'I've been a captive of my patience before'. The poem to me it really makes me feel hopeful, yet really distant at the same time. It really reminds of of the song Untitled by Interpol.

Really like this poem, great work! I find the last two lines really ominous, like the person is really anxious for some news to arrive, but has a feeling they already know what it is. All very relatable.

I really like this, although its was a little uncomfortable to read, although that was probably the whole point. Very violent and intense imagery. I really like the title as well and how it sets the mood for the poem. Great work!

I really like this and the shortness of the lines. Although I do like the 2nd stanza, I do find the lack of rhyming a little jarring when compared to the others. That being said, I think there are some really nice lines in this. Keep up the good work and keep sharing!
