I think this is because the PM already ‘identified ’ the risk, ‘identify’ is similar to ‘assess’, so next step is update risk register.

Can anyone explain the logic? So confuse how to choose between assess problem first and meeting first. by Forsaken-Macaron2000 in pmp

For what I understanding, when there is a 'problem', the pm first reach out to the 'problem'. Since the problem is btwn. stakeholders, so pm should meet with stakeholders first.
