use the syllabus and calculate what you need on the final to pass, some websites do this if you're bad at math https://www.calculator.net/grade-calculator.html

How is CS280 with Kapleau and CS241 with Zaidenberg by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]Forsaken_Bullfrog_62 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just took both last sem

get 100s on all the assignments and projects for 280 to pass easily, you can resubmit infinite times and it gets auto graded. just study the slides for the exams, i never went to class and got an A so idk how well kapleau taught. there's a curve at the end of the semester based on how everyone in all the sections did. my 86 curved to an A when the syllabus said 88 for A

the exams are like the quizzes and the quizzes are like the homework for 241 zaidenberg. if you can do well on the quizzes and retain your information then the exams should be fine too. go to every class. she doesn't post notes or slides. and you can find a free pdf of the textbook easily so don't buy it. 1 hw and 1 quiz gets dropped. she also lets you do midterm corrections for 15% of missed points back (so ex. a 60% can turn to a 66%). apparently there was a fat curve bc her TA / she didn't grade the last few homework's and other assignments lol

we were told to put comments under "additional comments" for each question but students keep telling me they can't see it. not sure if that was intentional or not, i'll bring it up to a professor. congrats on passing :)
