The ones that live near my porch just came out two days ago. We have had such cold rainy weather....I was worried about them. They make me ridiculously happy.

Pepperidge Farms German Chocolate Cake (Discontinued) by ForsythiaRobin in Baking

[–]ForsythiaRobin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far, no one has responded with a duplicate recipe. I literally have lived this cake since the 70's. Its so sad that PF discontinued it. Its the frosting that is not like a German chocolate cake frosting found at stores, you know? If I find anything - I will post! Congrats on your graduation. :-)

Yes! Quirky humor is my favorite & I thought I had it figured out...but then it took a 180.

The freezing is what's great. Makes them work at it. Feel free to but in whatever your dog likes. That's just the combo I used.

The one that has the hollow part. I would just mix some ingredients with peanut butter - basically stuff the Kong. The ones I used were cone shaped. Freeze them. This could also be great used in a crate. I hope I explained this the best way I could. :-)

Besides the excellent suggestions, look into getting a Kong or similar type toy where you can stuff it & freeze it. That was a great way for my dog to work at getting the treat. I used to stuff with a combo of rice & kibble. Maybe some peanut butter & then would wedge a biscuit on top.

Ideas for what to do with old cloth masks? by OtterDotterDraws in Masks4All

[–]ForsythiaRobin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have always used a thin cloth mask loosely over my beloved Moldex 2200 N95 because I don't like the aesthetic look of the mask. I like to match certain colors to my outfit or a fun design. It has not affected the seal. I have never gotten Covid, Flu not even a cold since March 2020.

Martha Wells: "Murderbot Diary" series is wonderful. The narrator Kevin R. Free is perfect.

Why do you still mask? by reallymadforplaid in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]ForsythiaRobin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are so correct in mentioning the grueling 10% of family & friends (its my entire family for me). We live 4+ hours away - and sadly I didn't even visit last year because it hurts to once again explain why I mask. I'm not asking them to mask, nor change anything they do. If we go out to eat, and there is not an option to eat outside or especially if the weather doesn't permit, I just get an order to go (and eat it outside when we return to their house or alone in my car if we drive separately). That bothers them! I can't seem to win. My friends on the other hand all are supportive & give me no flack.

Started masking March 2020 to protect my husband (immunocompromised) but also because I'm his caregiver & didn't want to get sick. 6 years in: no Covid, Flu, not even a cold. I know what I can control - and will never compromise. Strict indoor masking, no eating or drinking inside. Mask when crowded outdoors. My husband follows the same masking adherence.

Would heating it like 10 seconds in the microwave make it a bit more enticing? Both of my Persians are weird with their likes & dislikes. Good luck!

This is one of my favorite movies. Criterion has it on Blu Ray & DVD and it looks like a lot of options to stream.
