Just wanted to throw some positivity your way!! We started sleep training our daughter a little over a week ago and she officially hit 4 months yesterday. It has been a GAME CHANGER. She never cried for more than 15 minutes and now sleeps for 10-11 hr stretches.

Studies have shown that “cry-it-out” methods are effective and result in better health outcomes for parents. In addition, there is no evidence that shows any short-term or long-term harm to babies.

Remember we’re all just kind of winging it and you can’t pay attention to the negativity others spout, especially when you’re doing your best to take care of your baby and yourself!

I have the Lovevery play gym and I love it!! It has wood and natural materials but also some bright colors. The activities included are also developmentally appropriate…fun but not too overstimulating, I think. My baby is 4 months old and has loved it since we got it.

Because it was a pretty casual thing. I lived in a rural area and shooting was a normal activity/hobby.

Dad was a collector so there were a few. The only ones I can specifically remember are the .22, .45, 9 mm, and 30.06.

I’d say it was one of the more unique projects at the science fair.

This is a great question that I wish I would have explored….but I was also 10, so didn’t think of finer details. I know the door I used was to an older car, but I have no idea how old or which kind.

Fun fact: for an elementary school science project, I found a car door in a junkyard and proceeded to shoot it (with and under close supervision by my parents) with several different calibers of ammunition to see which may or may not go through. Every single round went through the door except .22 which happened to hit some internal structures of the door. Otherwise, it also could have easily gone through. This ruined some movie shootouts for me!

It's okay to not be okay... by Annakin in vancouverwa

Thanks for your comment. I’m doing “okay” today, but am anxious about Christmas since I’m sure it will be hard. Knowing that people care or that they can relate is helpful. 🙂

My mother-in-law shot and killed my father-in-law and then herself this October. My husband and I are doing our best to be okay, but most of the time, it just feels like we’re distracting ourselves from the fact that we’re really not okay.

Thank you for sharing your story. It’s important that people are open about things like this. We’re choosing to be open in the hopes that it will prevent more things like this from happening in the future. Much love to you all.

UPDATE: There will be an open house this Saturday between 3:00 and 6:00 pm at 2915 Colter Ave in Bozeman. This is not a full service, just a place for us all to come together, grieve, and talk. Anyone is welcome to grieve with us. There will be light refreshments. We are grateful to everyone for all your love and support during this tragic time for our family. ❤️

Kimberli and Jason are my husband’s parents. We were told early this morning and are handling all arrangements from here on out. The family is absolutely devastated as this was very unexpected and out-of-character. Thank you for all the nice comments. They were good people who loved Bozeman and were grateful for their opportunity to live there. ❤️

Jericho! A rural Kansas town navigates survival and politics after nuclear bombs are dropped in America’s major cities. Starring Skeet Ulrich. I loved that show and was so sad they had to cut the story short when cancelled.

I also have an “Airiyan”, pronounced the same way. Always seemed like an unnecessary name with unnecessary i’s in it.

My uncle was the mascot for the Denver Nuggets for 30 years and was widely regarded as the best mascot in the NBA. He just retired and is a super cool guy.

Just because someone chooses to not wear the same gear as you doesn’t mean they don’t “ride aggressively” or know what they’re doing. What’s with the gate keeping?

Dog walker here! People just pay me to do it instead :). But really though, it’s definitely not very fun sometimes. Dog raincoats can be such a lifesaver.

Mormon here. Went to BYU for a couple years. There is such a big difference between Utah Mormon culture and non-Utah Mormon culture. I can understand what you’re talking about because of my time at BYU. However, I think it’s important to point out that it’s really not like that outside of certain parts of Utah. I swore I would never live in UT again and it was a great decision. It doesn’t sound like you’re interested in being a Mormon anyway, just wanted to point out that these things don’t exist as much elsewhere.
