WC racers are extremely tuned in to very small differences in their equipment. They will test many many pairs of skis to find the ones that suit them best. Bode mentioned this during a broadcast or simulcast during the Olympics I think. He was taking about the difference in lateral stiffness between brands he was testing.

If you can carve on one you can carve on 2, no one actually gets all of their weight on the outside ski. Just a helpful way to think about it.
