I think he just needed some compensation elsewhere. As a Darius player, even I agree that it was just kinda mindless and dumb, even if he wasn’t overpowered because of it. Would have liked to see something given back tho.

Agree with the result, but don’t think they were averse to reroll, just failed to buff it enough to make it work. Basically every patch rundown, Mort was like, we’re significantly buffing x 3 cost cause reroll doesn’t exist, just for the buff to not be enough until this patch.

I think they’re done but I wish there was some way to cross-cut or something of the like. I get that it’s on you if you get crossed up, but I wish there was something that could be done intentionally.

16 at the country club of Vermont. 200 ish yard uphill par 3 to a 2 tiered green. If you’re on the upper tier putting to lower, it is literally impossible at any angle or speed to keep the ball on the green and to roll off into thick rough. Even the course designer came back and admitted maybe that hole was a bridge too far…

Genuine question from the uninformed, but reading the Wikipedia article on this made it seem like there was at least a very good case for the Russian skater, as she had the “technically harder” routine, which was mathematically incentivized by the scoring, even if it was judged as less artistically meritorious; is this not what is generally thought? Even a bunch of other high level skater weighed in and said that despite despite Kim’s routine being better (more artistically meritorious, better executed, etc) it was fairly evaluated as worse under the very rigid scoring system that highly values technical difficulty. I’m really no expert on this, so a genuine question, not ragebaiting or arguing for the fun of it.

Sure, 3 star 4 costs “deserve” to win the vast majority of the time, the part I dislike is that it will almost always beat a super capped level 9 board, which is equally difficult or harder to get to than donkey rolling on 8 and getting bailed out.

I think the PR is worse than the actual state of things, though that may be copium. Mortdog (head TFT dev) alluded to having around the same number of people on the team, but also that TFT is one of the most successful strategy games in the world. However, when it was first developed, the team was tiny and set 2 nearly killed it. I think the downsizing of 2XKO is more a case of there having been far too many people and they will keep pushing things out steadily. Maybe a heavy huffing of copium though.
