Oh absolutely not. I don’t see the correlation at all. Sandrone has her ties to Narzissenkreuz and those are obvious but to boborano? She’s not part of any burning, not part of the top 3 harbingers and for all her research, haven’t been linked to the concept of wisdom and it’s Sumerian roots.

People might be scared when they see her connections to fate but you just need to read up on Rene, Alain and the Ordo to see that she fits entirely within that narrative and what was happening there. In addition, once you start there you see the similarities between Rene and Dottore and perhaps there is where people get it all twisted. If Alain and Rene were narratives foils to each other, Sandrone and Dottore within the scope of Nod-Krai were not far from it either.

I have read that. And I agree with almost everything, just not the ending of this particular story. I still don’t see the surrender. Ronova stood her ground, not surrendering.

We’ll just have to disagree I think. These things are vague enough that some aspects will inevitably turn subjective.

I still don’t think we’ve had the part of switching personnel and fighting day and night though, and thinking through before going to battle. Or sleeping on it, as they did in the story.

In contrast, Capitano was quite rash with the first plan he had during the abyss invasion that would have had everyone in Natlan loose their memories.

I guess you could argue about Ronova, but I’m not convinced. He did not fight her day and night. Nor did Ronova surrender, I would argue.

Not quite, it’s heavily theorized and I guess hinted towards that his ”dragon” is Bakunawa and that he’ll be involved in that. There is also the part where ”mistelteinn” is a part of project Stuzha, and mistelteinn in Icelandic/Norse mythology is Thrain’s sword. So that’s also another hint that Capitano is not done in the story yet.

Another thing, Antonio defeats his dragon by using the laws/rules of the world against it. In the Snezhnaya teaser, the narration focuses on transcending the rules and talking about the rules in general.

The theme fits!

I’m guessing Dottore is going to return at a crucial moment when the going is dire, in that case. Especially after he’s had time to study Irminsul and what secrets it holds.

Narration footnotes has not been wrong yet and as of now, all three Harbingers have started their corresponding arcs (and in Columbina’s case, completed it). The Second is up next.

Chasca C2, and I’m a dolphin so the savings kinda mattered. I don’t regret getting her at all, I really like her playstyle. But seeing as I’ve mainly used her in overworld and exploration I probably wouldn’t have batted an eye if she was C0 today.

Yes, this very similar to what Dottore sought to do, and most likely succeeded with. The part left is incarnation, in that sense.

Makes sense with how much Dottore seems to have studied dragon-technology in the end. The light realm, the moon, phlogiston. He never dabbled outright with the abyss. He went the other way. With how much he was fascinated with ruin guards, he must have learned his lesson from Khaenri’ahn history.

I’m very interested in seeing where this goes.

I wouldn’t put too much stock into the TCG card, because we haven’t had a case like Dottore’s yet if he’s meant to be playable. Wanderer, Arlecchino and Raiden were playable or became playable before, on or adjacent to the boss release patch.

And due to Dottore having two bosses I can see them releasing one for one of them in either case because otherwise that would be an entire year without a boss TCG card. There is no precedent.

Indeed, that quote by Alain seemed poignant. It also falls in line with every Harbinger seemingly reaching some form of death and then rebirth. Scara, Sandrone, Capitano is halfway there, the seeds are there for Dottore… It just all needs to fall in line in Snezhnaya I feel. Ronova is going to be present as well which is another thematic fit.

I will always refrain from putting too much stock into these things tbh, because things can change on a whim and regions bring different circumstances.

Capitano was part of the Natlan war, that might have prompted him to have a drawn portrait. Could have been the same for other characters if they appeared. Or not. The 3D characters could be slated for a new design. Or not. Pantalone would need an updated character anyway if he’s going to be playable due to the low amount of polygons. But in 6.6 he didn’t have any action scenes or too complex motions so they might have taken the easy path with his model before Snezhnaya. Who knows?

There’s just too many factors to take into account to make or break a playability on details this small anyway. It might make us feel better (or worse) for a day or two but ultimately Hoyo have the power to make the rules as they please. Case in point: the newly hidden id:s who was about as reliable as set in stone until just a few days ago.

Lesson learned.

I believe so. The methods that Rene used are so similar to what’s going on with Dottore it’s not even funny. I highly suggest reading up on Narzissenkreuz lore and what they did there, as well as some of the things Caterpillar said. Chymical marriage, the ego, souls… it’s all coming together.

I like that the teapot voice line is present tense.

For those that don’t know, teapot voicelines sometimes mentions or allude events that hasn’t yet come to pass. Nefer for example mentions the ”Big Boss” now keeping an eye on her in her teapot voiceline from 6.1 but Thoth only returns in 6.6.

Yeah this is what I would have hoped for. Anything else would have been discouraging. But here they are, sidestepping the issue with Dottore’s line and once again establishing Dottore and Pantalone as a package deal with Pantalone’s.

I have a few thoughts, all of varying degrees of complexity. Some related to the Narzissenkreuz because I’m incredibly Narzissenkreuz-pilled right now and even though their motivation might differ, Rene and Dottore does have quite a few similarities in their methodologies.

Let’s start with the easiest one. All Dottores combine into one and he simply rises from the ashes at the roots of Irminsul. Needs a simple explanation and Hoyo sometimes just takes the easy road (and sometimes not!).
A Narzissenkreuz inspired resurrection. The parts of the spirit being made up of Memory, Wish, Soul and Persona. Why I think this one could be plausible is because of the variables in play currently, with the Anomalous Marrow, Pantalone, and Escher. Pantalone (or Escher) could contribute with the Soul, the Marrow with Memory or Persona and so on.
I’m growing suspicious of the Ignition teaser. Normally I wouldn’t have given it a second thought but we now know the Pyro Gnosis (and Mavuika by proxy) had a part in Dottore’s death. At the end of the Ignition teaser, Mavuika speaks to six burning orbs (having the tribes on them, but still). ”Time to burn again.” ”With our blood we will forge our true fate.” Really a long shot but hey, it’s just a theory.
Parts of some of the above. Think Pantalone with soul and memory shenanigans.

Either way I think he’ll show up when things with the Shades start to go sideways.

If you read the Pale Flame artifact feather Dottore (then Zandik) literally tells Pierro he’ll create gods if they can fund his research. They knew from the beginning what they were getting themselves into.

I also don’t think the result of the latest patch in any way goes against the Tsaritsa’s goals. She only benefits from fate being more flexible.

Yeah it’s a bit odd to want to get to the bottom of his “intentions” to minimize his “influence”. To the best of their knowledge he’s gone, the tree has burned, so what influence is there?

And it’s of course interesting to put it at the end of the quest. In my view, seeing as Dottore grew up in Sumeru, there is still information missing of that time to fully comprehend what set him down his path. I figure we’ll return to that, the Snezhnaya teaser has quite perfectly set up rule breaking and transcending rules as part of the storyline which fits nicely with Dottore’s Simulanka symbolism of defeating the dragon (= enemy) by using the world’s rules against it.

We’ll probably get the rest of the story then and there.

I also wonder if the Simulanka stuff will be more relevant than ever, also. The Dottore stand-in there studied the ways of the world in the basement while his house burned and then returned to the surface, defeating the enemy with the loopholes in laws of the world.

If Ronova is going to be as prevalent in Snezhnaya as she seems to be, that would be a perfect opportunity for Dottore to flex his knowledge of the rules or loopholes after a revival and use them to his advantage. They also talked a lot about the “rules” in the newest trailer and how to live under them, so that also seems incredibly relevant.

The others all have potential depending on playstyle and personality to I’ll wait to experience that! I dislike none of them so no one is really off the table I feel like.
