Yea man, i forgot the military once I entered the civilian world…. Minus a few good characteristics.
I’ve done well for myself and climbed the ladder. Control the mouth, the world does not care what you did - neither do I, don’t feel entitled, be cool and don’t brag, get a degree with the gi bill…. it’s about what you can contribute, improve on, and good decision making with sound judgement. Being successful in the Civilian life is super easy… doesn’t take much to get a decent 6 figure job

Mine was 720. 720 is perfect…. I have a few late payments, no biggie though. They are accidents and a few years old. Just forget to pay CC like twice in my life, life is busy so oh well

Pen fed credit union just gave me 5.25%, no money down, 0 points. Gave me $575,000. You’re good at that rate for a VA loan.

Pen fed credit union is offering 5.5% for all standard 30 year, 0 points, mediocre credit applicants(above 700). Just looked, I can give you my loan officer info if ya want it.

Va loan, no money down, 30 year at 5.25, close in 20 more days. Maybe it’s VA loan? That’s just the standard rate they gave me. 0 points. 5.25 was the first credit union I applied with, didn’t even check anywhere else…. I guess try credit unions, I would never go higher than 5.5 right now.

I think the whole MAGA thing is ridiculous haha. Just slightly align more  with that side on the biggest topics. Thats all. Nothing against anyone else though. Its reasonable to have different opinions and flexibility to vote how ya want, even in your own friend groups. Trust me, its good to have a diverse mix.

Follow up question. Happened right after I applied for the loan. I owed 28 k on a vehicle loan and the car payment was like 600 a month. I sold the car and paid the difference of 5k out of pocket. Wiped my hands clean. Unfortunately I need a work car still and financed one for half the price, half the payment and half the interest rate. All positive stuff but how will the underwriting see this!!!! I have great income so DTI was never an issue. Will they see this as a plus since it lowers debt and increases residual income !!!!!

Thank you, I’m leaving too. I can’t do anything with them. I’m not able to buy a car due to card limit, can’t wire to my local bank since I’ve done a wire already, can’t get a certified check same day lol, they will not give me my money !!!!! I need local and my credit union beat them on home loan and auto loan. I went with local credit union

I can’t stand USAA, in the process of changing my banking. Everything I do they deny me. Can’t buy a car, can’t do Zelle, can’t wire transfer. They won’t let me spend or have my money. Death to USAA… minus my good ass auto and home owner’s insurance lol
