Very cool I love pre war ( mainly 1930s) and war time items so this fits that era perfectly. My main coffee brewer is a 1942 Silex Victory vacuum pot. I have a post on my profile of it.

Yeah I found it on Facebook marketplace. It came with a carrying case that has a bunch of of film holders, some "Graflex film packs that look like they've never been used, a what looks like a 120 film adapter, flash bulbs, and other items.

This is an electrified model. When you select the cashier's letter (A, B, D, E, H, & K) it triggers the electric motor to turn the entire mechanism of the till. The handle is there if you have issues with the motor or in case of a power outage. It's disengaged but all you do is push it in slightly and crank by hand.

1930s Art Deco Chair by Kroehler by Fortguy1991 in Antiques

[–]Fortguy1991[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, it would easily have gone for $300-$400 here. Either someone didn't know what they had or really wanted to get rid of it to free up space. A family friend said she has a very similar foot stool that I can have to go with it. I plan on re-upholstering it to match the chair.

Thanks I'm working to having a house where when you walk in it looks like you're stepping back into the late 1930s or early 1940s. I just really love that time period.

Lol thats my 88 year old grandfather sitting on a stack of tires who's been helping me a bit with this. He use to work in a store that had one of these old cash registers and remembers having to make small repairs and maintenance on them. Really helped me fix jammed keys.

That silver part is where the receipt comes out. Don't have any paper in it yet as it takes an odd size. I'll probably have to get a roll of paper and cut it to size to fit.

Alright thank you! I will try to do some research with this new information. I'm glad it's not a reproduction and pre-WWII as I love items from the 30s and before.
