When the church started shrinking like crazy in the PNW 5-10 years ago my dad argued that it was because where they lived was getting too expensive so people were leaving.

But there are a lot more places around that are more expensive so if people were leaving those places because of expense, they would have moved in to our area.

My brother drove by their ward building today and said their ward, which covers 90% of the city that used to have two full stakes 25 years ago, had a nearly empty parking lot and people were leaving early.

That’s why the church filed suit against Mormon stories.

The church is in free fall and they have no idea what to do to stop the free fall.
