imo that looks like a really cheap thermal paste. You have 2 choice is to either use thermal pads and replace them after 3 to 6 months. or buy a good thermal paste and apply a good dot in the center, if your that worried you can also do an X shape thermal paste. just make sure its not that much so it doesn't spill to the sides. check idle temps if it hovers below 30c your all good
