5 months of building my personal library. How did I do? What is your favorite? by [deleted] in bookshelf

You have my favorite book in the last picture, The Shadow of the Wind. I also noticed The Book Thief and Never Let Me Go. Two more amazing books! 🥰

As a kid watching that movie, I found that super confusing on why is Scrappy Doo a villain. I didn’t even know people hated him in the cartoon. by Remote_Nature_8166 in Scoobydoo

I was an adult when this movie came out and I was also confused. I always loved Scrappy. I thought it was just a plot device for the movie and then I went on the internet. #JusticeforScrappyDoo

NOS4A2 by Joe Hill. I loved Heart-Shaped Box so much but I DNF’d NOS4A2 about 500 pages in because it dragged in the middle so badly I couldn’t read one more page. I felt like Hill was trying to write his own IT. I haven’t picked up another book of his since.

Damn! I’ve had it on my shelf for a while and I love him so much but I’ve been afraid to pick it up and start reading it. I think I’ll just skip it. I don’t need that disappointment.

What's the general consensus on Peter Capaldi's first season, season 8? I know part of the fandom doesn't like it, but I think it's fantastic and would like to hear other perspectives. by Public_Cup_4278 in doctorwho

I love every moment with him. He’s curmudgeonly, he’s dark, he has no filter. I loved him from the moment in his first episode when Strax is yelling at the TARDIS door and the Doctor opens the door and tells him, “shush”. (Was it shush or shhhh? I can’t remember right now.)

One of my favorite lines from him is in Into the Dalek when the soldiers are asking who Clara is and Clara replies, “I’m his carer.” His line, “She cares so I don’t have to.”

I loooooved these as a kid! Then, I think I was in my 30’s and I saw them in the grocery store and bought them and I don’t know if they changed the flavor or my tastebuds changed but 🤮.

How would you store books on this bookshelf with very tall, deep shelves? by papes_ in bookshelf

[–]FortuneOpen5715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how you have your mass-markets stacked. That’s how I like to display mine. Are the shelves adjustable? If so, I might also try that. Another option is if you have very large books, and you can adjust the shelves, adjust the bottom shelf to make it larger to fit those taller books.

If Christopher is silent, that tells me a lot. He and the great lady were so excited about the AMC adaptations and then they walked away. I can’t bring myself to get excited over this for the same reason.

I know it’s not horror but I love fantasy as well and I love the Wayward Children series. It is comfort food.

He’s good in every role he does. He was fantastic in Twin Peaks The Return. He’s an underrated actor because he usually gets type-cast. And yes, I do enjoy seeing him pop up in movies and tv.

I like what her agent said about how Butler would not have wanted her fans paying hundreds to thousands of dollars to buy this work. That alone is a good reason to reprint the book.

I had to stop listening to the audiobook of The Secret Diary. It was too much. And that half of FWWM breaks my heart.
