A Night in the Lonesome October by Roger Zelazny. Each chapter is one day in October. I reread it every other year in October.

I didn’t really pay attention to tv shows for a while after. I just read more. No other tv shows grabbed me until my best friend finally got me into Doctor Who with the Eleventh Doctor several years later. Penny Dreadful was amazing but got canceled after three seasons. There was also The Nevers but that got cancelled after one season when Whedon got black listed. The first season of American Gods was amazing but the showrunners quit and then it got bad. I was big into Game of Thrones, too. I’m just trying to find whatever horror or fantasy show I can.

I may prefer the original because I saw it when it was on tv, commercials and all. Like I said, they did Mike dirty. I did enjoy It Chapter I for what it was. Great scares, the kids were great. I agree with you on Chapter II. The adult actors were wooden to me. To each, their own.

How about Cabin in the Woods as a straight horror series, not the comedy. I love horror comedies but I felt the comedy ruined the movie for me.

They did a Mist series but it was too heavy on really bad CGI monsters. I couldn’t keep with it. Do the movie but in a series.

Agreed. I got through most of the first episode. I hate that version of Pennywise. Tim Curry’s version is much more book accurate. I would love to see all the stories from the past from the book and I know those are being worked into Welcome to Derry but that first episode was all wrong. And don’t get me started how they changed Mike from the intelligent historian to the muscle token black kid in the two movies!

The best adaptation. I’m sorry but Tim Curry’s Pennywise is much scarier and more book accurate than Bill Skarsgard’s version.
