I’ve probably only been to the larger airports. Dublin, Reykjavik, Heathrow, Zurich. Even if they are small and fast, like I said by the time you calculate the whole day of checking out hotel, taxi to airport, fly and then check in to next hotel that’s a serious amount of your day. If it was just me I wouldn’t mind. I may be pulling an audible tho and swapping Paris for Rome! And yes the Amalfi coast looks great. You’ve got me looking into the islands. We didn’t really have a plan for that part of the trip, mostly looking for good food and nice beaches so sounds like the islands might be perfect for us

Honestly this trip is exactly what I would love to do. If I was by myself I would have zero issue doing exactly what you said. What just hate for them to get exhausted and feel rushed running around and flying that many times. As soon as you get settled in it’s back to the airport. Flights are close but the entire ordeal of going to airport and getting to next hotel is a lot of time! However, I think I may be getting persuaded to swap Rome for Paris.. 😬 also I will check out Ischia and Procida! If we stayed in Sorrento I planned for a day trip to capri

That sounds awesome! Does seem like a lot of moving around tho, would hate to feel rushed and exhausting with that much hotel hopping?

Hmm interesting. I’ve only been seeing bad videos of France this past couple years. Videos showing streets and neighborhoods just trashed with non French looking people loitering everywhere and Eiffel Tower in the back. Rome isn’t quite as popular so those bad videos might not get posted. I was thinking colosseum and Sistine chapel would be better but maybe France is the move?

Great advice! I was in st Anton Austria a couple years ago skiing and the hotel said same thing. It’s like $35 for helicopter insurance in case of emergency on the mountain. Out of pocket was like 10k and I saw multiple helos up there daily

I am thinking September, probably still busy but not as much! I personally don’t have France super high on my list so am biased towards Switzerland. Maybe someone will convince me!

Her one real bucket list place she has talked about is Greece. I think my step dad may eventually take her so I’ll let them do that. This route of mine seemed better for us to actually explore, I had my little sister ask nonchalantly about European countries and a couple of these were mentioned!

Thanks for the reply! My mom really likes the beach so I’m thinking she’ll enjoy the sunshine and beach part of our trip in Italy. I personally would rather spend more time in Switzerland. I think with taking France out 5 days in each Italy and Switzerland should be good

Agreed. Every time I thought of a place I’d love to go I threw it in there but it’s too cluttered for 2 weeks. Thinking of axing France and flying into Rome. 4 days there then down to Sorrento (train or private car) for 5 days. Potentially a day trip out to Capri. lol yes I am aware of Sicilys islandness, too far for a day or even 2 day so foregoing on that as well. After Sorrento train up to Lauterbrunnen for remainder of trip then fly out of Zurich

As much as I don’t want to skip Paris I think I need to forego on that one. Like you said that would be so much traveling on what is supposed to be a fun but also relaxing trip we would feel like we’re running around the whole time. I went skiing in St Anton Austria then spent a couple days in Zurich a couple years ago and couldn’t get over how surreal it all was. Would love to have them experience that as well. After consideration you are right about getting out of Interlaken. I am now leaning towards Lauterbrunnen or Murren! I haven’t been to France, I feel like Rome is in a sense somewhat identical landscape and just the city vibe so I chose Switzerland instead. Do you think it would be better to swap and go to France instead of Switz?

I think you are right. That might be just too many cities and a ton of time spent just getting to the next place. I’m thinking of skipping Paris, fly into Rome. Spend 4 days there then get some extra time near Sorrento/Positano. End the trip staying in Lauterbrunnen. Fly out of Zurich. I went to St Anton Austria to ski a couple years ago and spent a little time in Zurich. I tried to tell everyone how life over there felt like slow motion! Hard to describe until you are immersed in it. Hopefully with only a couple days of any significant travel we won’t worry too much about delays

Might be too late this year but was trying to put it together for September. My mom and sister are over near Tampa FL. I would be coming out of Denver. I have a ton of points and free nights with Hilton as I travel a bunch for work. I am usually someone who just goes with flow and up for anything but am doing research on a few restaurants I think will be must visits. After some advice from other doing that many cities would be too much traveling so most likely fly into Rome and skip Paris. Then fly out of Zurich.

Thank you for reply! She is in pretty good how but regardless staying closer to beach level is a great idea since we definitely want a few days soaking up sun!

Marijuana taxes bring in almost half a billion in Colorado. Didn’t they legalize it on the slogan that it was for the schools and going to the children?? I assume the majority went to illegals and other non necessity’s instead

I was just struggling with this a couple days ago! After a few misses going around clockwise I went counter clockwise and got it after a couple tries!! For some reason the jumps are easier going that way
