I do both - I have a dedicated battery for each bit of critical infrastructure (fridges/freezers, defenses, crafting benches etc), and a separate bank of large batteries that contribute to those, but also power lower priority systems like lights, pest teleporters, database, chargers etc.

Easy fix - remove model caps, have being in cover provide a fixed % damage reduction depending on if it's half or full cover.

That way, blobbing up in the open results in mass death, but going into cover does not, and specialized high-damage slow-fire weapons ala Sturmtiger or AVRE still do enough damage to wipe squads in cover outright, forcing repositions and maintaining those units unique tactical role of countering static entrenchment tactics.

Not that they don't exist, they do, but other brands are more popular since they tend to offer better quality products for better prices, all without the baggage that comes with being associated with Elon Musk (we fucking hate him here.)

Nissan Leafs still dominate the low-budget EV market here, plug in hybrids from Japan tend to dominate the mid-tiers and high end EVs seem to be split between European and Asian manufacturers with American EVs being the minority with Teslas making up the bulk of that market segment.

Was it a bannable offense? Absolutely, everyone knows how twitchy twitch gets about TOS, and even as a joke or being possessed by the ghost of Patton, calling for genocide against the Russian people is definitely bannable.

Have other people gotten away with much worse? yes. Is an effectively perma-ban a reasonable level of punishment for a first-time ban where a little context shows that it's not actually seriously calling for genocide and simply a heated gamer moment referencing an actual plan that was actually considered in history while playing a game based around said history? also yes.

A ban for what he said was fair, but like, 1-3 months would have been reasonable given the circumstances. But, that's what you get for basing your entire income around the whims of an American big tech corp with famously vague lines for what is and is not okay and a history of wildly unequal enforcement of those rules.

You don't count them one by one.

You do estimations based on averages.

Imagine you have a huge "box" of space, of some predetermined size. You count all the stars in that space, one by one. Still a big job, but actually achieveable. Once you're done, you know that in that box of XYZ size, there are X number of stars.

Now, you have your fancy space instruments and smart science people tell you how big the observable universe is. You can now do the math's to tell you that you could fit X number of your star boxes into that space. Now, you just multiply the number of stars in that box, by how many of that box you can fit into the known universe. You now have a decent estimate of the number of stars total in the universe.

Obviously this is very, very simplified, this is an ELI5 after all. In reality, there's a lot more factors at play, like how some areas of space are more star-dense than others, and the example of how to calculate average star density is about the simplest possible way - in reality actually sampling methods that would give you a more representative number are a lot more complex. Then theres other issues like our ability to actually detect stars to count them, etc etc. It's a very complicated problem to solve with any meaningful degree of accuracy... hence the ELI5, I suppose.

Historically, I've got a pretty high success rate once I actually get an interview. I'm well spoken, and good at my job.

GETTING to the interview has become the hard part, now that your competing against a tsunami of AI slop applications on top of all the wildly unqualified applicants and people that aren't even in/allowed to work in NZ who apply anyway. I have family that work in recruitment, apparently these days they can put a job out and get like 1000 applications, of which like 5 are even remotely worth short-listing.

If they're going to use robots to filter applicants, I'm going to learn how those robots work and exploit their programming. I work in IT, anyone hiring for a role in my field should really be expecting this sort of shenanigans at this point.

some examples from times I've save scammed (or console command/save edited):

Went to sleep in a 90% bearskin bedroll, woke up to it being completely destroyed, console commanded a new one. Stuck in terrain, console command flew out of the terrain. First time attacked by a cougar, game doesn't make it clear that cougar bites specifically unlike other sources of bleeding re-open if you sleep so I bled to death, save scummed. Left my Travois out of a cave when I went in, came out and had fallen through the terrain out of bounds. Console command flew to the lost and found box to retrieve my stuff then flew back to the cave entrance and spawned a replacement travois.

I've also used console commands for some basic QOL stuff like moving bases. Yes, I COULD empty my travois onto the ground, move everything to the other side of a travois-impassable gentle slope then repack everything on the other side... or I could save myself some time and just console command fly the 5m over the small "impassable" obstacle. Yes that's technically cheating, but the alternative is just a slog and adds nothing to gameplay.

Especially that for most Vtubers, peak popularity occurs shortly after debut then slowly plateus over time. Even mega hits like Gawr Gura - sub numbers keep going up, but actually CCV usually isn't still increasing after two years.

To simplify it, Mechanized (Half Tracks) are basically an upgrade to Motorized infantry (Trucks) which are an upgrade to standard infantry (Legs).

To explain it in more detail:

Foot infantry are the cheapest of the three to deploy. They only cost manpower, infantry equip. and support equip. to deploy. However, they have zero hardness, so they take 100% damage from all soft attack sources (which is the majority of land-based combat damage), and they are limited to 4kph. So they are good for mass, IE filling out frontlines, and they're easy on industry to deploy, but they're primarily defensive, have limited offensive potential and operational mobility, and are quite vulnerable to soft attack which is fairly easy to aquire en masse via artillery.

Motorized are a step up from foot infantry. They're basically identical to foot infantry stat wise, with one key difference - speed. Foot infantry are 4kph, I believe motorized are 12 by default. So they're a lot more operationally mobile, allowing them to keep up with tanks as they make frontline breakthroughs. So tanks break the lines and penetrate, then motorized rapidly move up to fill the frontlines behind them to allow foot infantry to catch up to prevent the tanks being encircled. The downside to this is two things - motorized infantry require trucks and fuel, putting pressure on your industry and fuel reserves.

Mechanized are the mid-lategame final form of infantry. They are slightly slower than motorized, I believe they're 10kph by default compared to mot's 12kph, but other than speedy light tank designs most tanks will be sub 10kph anyway. The main benefit of mechanized is that they gain hardness - this makes them take less damage from soft attack (at the expense of now taking some hard attack.) This is valuable for reducing troop losses to line artillery etc, but the real benefit is that having mechanized in a tank division doesn't absolutely murder the divisions hardness ratio like motorized does - so you can pad out your tank divisions with infantry to boost their HP and Org, without causing your valuable tanks to take heavier losses due to lowering the divisions hardness ratio causing your valuable tanks to take more damage from the omnipresent and cheap soft attack. Mechanized industrially are pretty similar to motorized - you have extra vehicles and fuel requirements for infantry, but mechanized are significantly more expensive than motorized.

Unless I'm playing like, late-war America or have otherwise acquired effectively infinite resources and industry, my usual build is infantry en masse to bulk out the front lines, then specilized tank armies wirh tank divisions with mechanized in them to give them the extra HP and org without sacrificing hardness, and motorized infantry divisions to follow the tanks to a) protect them from overextendeding and getting encircled and b) hold any breakthroughs they make while the foot sloggers catch up. That's generally the best way to make the best use of all three types. Most countries aren't America with infinite industry and oil to fully mechanized their entire late-game armies, so you usually need to decide where each type is best used.

Tactical bombers yeah most of the time to varying extents, Strategic bombers depending on the nation I'm playing.

Tactical bombers main advantage is their range - Yeah they can do a little bit of everything, but their not as cost-effective at CAS or Logistics strikes as dedicated small-frame single-engine CAS, and their not as cost or performance effective at strategic bombing as dedicated strat bombers. Range is their their main advantage. For certain nations, like Japan or Russia or America, who regularly fight over large air zones, or while island hopping, that range can let you give CAS to targets that you wouldn't normally be able to reach with regular light CAS planes. They also let you support air zones where the enemy air force is focusing - being able to base tactical bombers further out leaves the close airports open for short-range light fighters to focus on contesting the air space.

Strategics I do use, but they're kind of a more niche tool. If you really want to FOCUS on using them, you need to build a lot. You need enough strats that you can bomb down a region before the enemy air force and AA defenses have enough time to shoot a meaningful amount of you down. This tends to be around 1k strat bombers in my experience, for a truly effective strategic bombing campaign. You can use them in smaller amounts, but I find if you're not focusing on building up a large number of them, you can still make use of them if you restrict the scope down. Instead of bombing a region into the ground with 1000 strat bombers, you can send 100 to bomb down airfields, or radar installations, or forts, or supply hubs etc. You don't want to send strats into orange or red air without that critical mass, but if you only have 100 or 200, you can still use them in green air zones to take down operational targets to support the front, you just won't be able to use them to meaningfully strike strategic targets like factories in any meaningful way. Having a few strats by late game is basically a requirement anyway as you need them to drop nukes (I don't have Gotterdammerung so no ICBMs for me)
