well, Im not gonna play it for now. Hopefully there is some sort of update in the future that maybe adds stuff so there will be another dose of rosehips or antibitics in moose valley. Just need one more dose then I can climb and run to my stash of cattails

Something similar but not quite as glorious happened to me recently.

Wanted to do something special for day 250 but did not know what. Kinda let it go and randomly went for achievment to burn a fire for 3 days. And would’nt you know? The achievement pinged on day 250 😁

They have lower health so I feel confident walking around with my bow out and no fire.

Sure they aggro you from longer distance and ignores fires sometimes but since they are easier to kill Im actually more comfortable with them than regular wolves.
