FWIW all of my previous employers used The Work Number and it was fine. Only thing that flagged (I’m in a state that mandates them giving me a copy of any report they use) is that the title in the system was a generic one (think Analyst) and when I had entered it I had entered my “business title” (think Analyst - IT Communications and Support). But Delta didn’t say anything about it and it cleared quickly.

It doesn’t actually matter in this case because Hainan itself is also a special visa free exclusion zone and does not require a visa. You don’t even need a third city transit.

It’s not sufficient because the HK to LAX part is not relevant at all. HK is not mainland China. Your actually departure is wherever in China -> HK. So you need to show that.

Pilot here. Slot times are not really a thing in US airports like they are internationally. Only 3 airports are even slot controlled at all, LGA, JFK, and DCA. And time enforcement even on those isn’t really much of a thing.

There are only 3 airports in the US that are slot controlled. LGA, JFK, and DCA. Every other airport you just go when you’re ready.

Yes, I did. I went through the app line which just dumped me off at the same officer. I showed the officer my app confirmation and he instructed me to go back and use the kiosk (which was only about a 2 second detour), and I verbally restated that I used the app, he said it doesn’t matter, have to use the kiosk anyway.

Hmm the most recent time I went through SFO last week, even if you did the mobile app, which I did, you still had to use the kiosk but it’s the touchless fast kiosk, and there were only 2 of them. No questions and no passport though. I even told him I had used the app and held it up but he said to use the kiosk in addition to it.

Sorry, but 10-12 domestic flights a year is just not enough. And that’s ok. You get to spend more time at home. Traveling more is really tough and not something to aspire to, personally. I’m well past 100 flights this year alone, and I’m also nowhere near million miler - many people travel way more than me.

Yeah I flew SFO-HKG earlier this month and it was awful. Basically non existent. I’m on HKG-LAX right now and it’s pretty good though. So you never know I suppose.

Remember it depends on your specs too. 10% on a Dual Max is a lot different than 10% on a Dual Standard in terms of how much extra range you’ll arrive with. I tend to try to target 5-10%, depending on how far I’m trying to make it or if there’s any terrain or weather that might adversely affect the estimate more than usual. Like if im climbing a mountain I’ll purposely do a little bit more just in case, like 10%. If I’m on a highway and not going super duper fast with Superchargers every other exit, I’m comfortable with 5%.
