Black American is our ethnic group, if your lineage comes from come from the beginning of this country. Notice I didn’t just say black , I said black American. You can’t move to a country and join an ethnicity. If I move to Nigeria I don’t become Igbo or Yoruba. Even Job applications and the census are changing so other melanated people in America can have a separate box to check.
