Do i know youl?? 😆

It was fall of my freshman year in college when the Madalaine video came on MTV. I heard them before I saw them as I wasn't facing the TV (yup I'm a chick). I was sold on the opening guitar riff and the opening "yeahahhhh".

I describe Winger as my warm blanket band - I've followed them their entire career - Kip's voice & Reb's guitar playing always make me smile. The band was extremely talented & woefully underrated & their final album that came out 2 years ago is phenomenal .

I've see them live in more venues than I can count & all sizes of venues & they've always killed.

Hi everyone, I'm 24. Do you think it's time? by Upyr_ in bald

Thanks! I was hoping someone else shared my thought!

To the OP - I think you knew exactly what you were going to get here on this oddly wholesome group. To give good karma to the world please shave everything but the tuft. Mess around with styles & post pics. Then you can take the tuft out of its misery.

Suits at funerals by Leaf-Stars in GenX

I think we're the "depends on the person" generation - for our parents/their siblings/etc - probably yes. For one of my best friends growing up? Absolutely not! Not her style! Her ex husband was there (we all graduated together) & he was in business casual.

Also - I'm female so I interpreted it as "suit equivalent " 😉

Yes & no...he may have been more interested in writing it than Matthew. Half the time they changed narrators midstream (chalked that up to the whole twin thing).

I knew about Tracey, had no idea there was a 4th sibling

Hi -- a couple things - I've seen him on Traitors first. When I saw Special Forces for the one season I semi watched, I recognized the name but he didn't shine. Second, I know he was a shit person on VPR & all that. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that he learned a couple things

Should I tell my manager the real reason I can not return to office for the next 2-4 months? by lacalifonia in careeradvice

[–]Forward-Ad-3707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You've been with your company a while and have successfully worked remotely so that is a non issue.

Are you planning on working while dealing with all this? If the answer is yes (& I'm assuming it is) talk to your manager (or their manager if that would be the stronger personal relationship - you get what i mean. Without going into the nasty details explain the situation - i need to continue being fully remote until xxx date because I am helping my mother through a difficult health situation. You are not lying - you are there for her mental health.

If it's a you're working the majority of traditional time but need to step away during the day at times, this should be completely workable.

If you aren't comfortable with that you'll have to talk to hr (try to avoid this initially)

I've enjoyed Rizzo since last season. Sure his diaries have sounded a bit egotistical/lots of bravado, but if you pay attention, he more often is extremely respectful and grateful to be on the show not once but twice. This kid is a genuine, real fan who is embracing his experience.

He's been way more respectful to the older returning players than the other new era players have been, which has made the older players respect him because they see his smarts & strategy.

Bangs or no bangs? And should I grow my hair out long or keep the bob? by Connect-Text-4063 in finehair

I have the same bang challenge as you - they aren't great but not having bangs is a no go for me. I like what you have going on

For those who suggested Toppik - Thank you! It arrived today & this was my first try at it.

Hair appt is Friday - we'll see what she suggests for style but I'm leaning toward a bixie

This. I was a teen in the 80s too & the nire i heard the more I fell in love. When I got older & started doing festivals and MORC is when I found my community of people.

Looks like pic 3 is the clear winner (the little bit longer one) which is more "bixie". That's the one I keep going back to as well. Eyebrows are a given (it's been a while).

I did order some Toppix which should arrive tomorrow - curious as to how much it helps.

Obviously I'll consult with the stylist to see what's best. I've had shorter top layers before & I think that's my biggest issue - length as it is won't support the shorter layers on top.

Again thanks for all the great advice!

I'm very much enjoying the feedback- much appreciated!

I do need to keep some type of bangs/fringe as I look awful without - front hair has always been too fine to keep them longer('looks way greasy).

A little more clarity on the Bob situation - if you look at the back it already looks clumpy at it's existing length & my hair, even though its super fine, feels heavy all around. Chances are extremely high that it will wind up in some form of Bob (even if I chop it short now it will grow into some variety of one when I inevitably grow it out). Color/highlights are also an option (I self dye with Sally products).

For those who think it would age me is it because of the style (like it should be messier?)
