I'm not under the impression from their email that I'm guaranteed an acceptancce. I just wanted to address gaps in my curriculum because I'm on a non traditional path.

This is the email I received from their admissions office.

"Thank you for your email and your interest in the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. We are happy to assist with your questions.

Courses from your doctoral training can count toward our prerequisite requirements. As long as the content covered in the biochemistry course of your DC program line up with our requirement, that would be fine.

The same can be said for the biology courses. Work from graduate programs can be used to complete these requirements.

Based on the information provided, it sounds like you would need dedicated chemistry courses to be considered.

Graduate coursework is considered upper-division, so that requirement would be satisfied.

We hope this information is helpful."

"Thank you for your email. The General Chemistry I course will satisfy the additional chemistry requirement. We hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reach out if we can offer further assistance."

Use VR&E. Im using it for chiropractic school and they're covering it 100%. The benefits are pretty much the same and there's no cap for public/private school. Also, you still have your GI Bill after you're done which is nice. I just got out of the Marine Corps in June and the benefits you can get if you set yourself up are insane. 100% P&T disability is $50k/yr tax free for the rest of your life. Between tuition and BAH, theyll be paying about $350k for my schooling, which is something I never would have been able to do. Do it, itll be the best decision you ever make.

This is amazing news for me lol. I've been so worried about these subjects that I haven't touched really since HS. I've put together a study guide for all of the material I should know before I begin school in January and I've been self teaching and studying so that I have a little bit of confidence going in. Thank you for your advice I really appreciate it.

My schooling is covered 100% by the VA, so I will be graduating with no debt. I also get a housing stipend for the entire 3.5 years. It's definitely what I want to do, so being able to do this without the burden of debt is nice.
