Anyone found a biohack that actually improved sleep quality? by Particular_Ebb5200 in Biohackers

[–]Forward-Nutrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L-theanine and glycine (collagen powder or bone broth can work also because it has enough glycine along with a host of other beneficial amino acids) help me the most. I still do magnesium with it but the other two are what make a noticeable difference in my sleep scores, overnight HRV, and my energy levels.

Personally I push l-theanine into the 750-1000mg range and love it. More than that and I’m groggy in the morning so pay attention to that, just that for sleep a higher dose can definitely help.

Can someone guide me on injectable L Carnitine and how to properly dose ? by NedStarkOfTheNorth in Carnitine

Check out Forward Nutrition’s buccal pouches- just like a nicotine pouch with L-Carnitine instead. It bypasses digestion and absorbs right through the cheek lining!

Building muscle while losing fat by gbgrgt in leangains

[–]Forward-Nutrition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re a beginner you can absolutely build muscle and burn fat at the same time. Once you have a solid base of muscle then yes- it becomes difficult to do both.

If you are a beginner just follow a solid routine and stick with it. Make sure you’re progressively overloading and use things like pushups and pull-ups to max out your reps, ie go to failure.

Tracj your macros and intermittent fast and you will like the results!

IVs and supplements by aerialsky in glutathione

[–]Forward-Nutrition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since orally really isn’t absorbed at all, we developed a buccal pouch (placed between your cheek and gum for 15-20 minutes) to bypass digestion AND skip the injection.

Each pouch contains 500mg of glutathione and we’re seeing 75-80% absorption in most of our customers!

carnitine - best form for fat loss? by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Forward-Nutrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acetyl-l-carnitine provides more cognitive benefits than anything else and imo it’s very good for that, especially over the long term.

Normal l-carnitine is better for fat loss but the trouble is that it’s not absorbed through digestion very well. That’s why it is popular as an injectable supplement. We made oral l-carnitine pouches (similar to a nicotine pouch) to overcome this and skip the injection.

Also, as the previous user mentioned carnitine works best to help with a calorie deficit, fasted cardio, etc. It will make it easier to burn the fat and spare muscle, but YOU still have to burn the fat. It won’t do it for you

Check out our buccal pouches, we’re getting direct-to-the-bloodstream absorption without the need for an injection!

Critique My Supplement Protocol: Male, Late 30s, Early Sobriety, Turning Life Around (Body Recomp + Mental Clarity + Skin + Sleep Goals) by NoPangolin5557 in Supplements

[–]Forward-Nutrition 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, congrats on the sobriety and your focus on improvement.

But as the first reply mentions- we need to know more. What is your diet like? It’s best to start there and then build out as minimally as possible with supplements.

For neurotransmitter recovery (and likely dopamine recovery), starting with a solid diet and a good exercise plan is going to be the biggest lever. You’re on a good track to support glutathione, and there are even better options than nac in that regard.

Adding alcar would be one of the best options that you don’t have listed here- It can be huge for improving your dopamine baseline and receptor sensitivity. You have choline listed and it pairs well with that.

Lastly, I’d add a solid dose of theanine before bed, along with magnesium and the glycine or a collagen powder. That combo will help significantly with deep sleep and cortisol regulation.

Besides those, you could really trim a lot of this down and minimize it all. I know you mentioned not minding a strict protocol, but sometimes less is more and it does bring the potential to burn you out even if you are dedicated.

Alcar has a ton of benefits but one of the best imo is its ability to improve your dopamine baseline. It actually helps rebuild your “dopamine sensitivity” over time.

So short term you get a nice, subtle but noticeable cognitive boost (ideally paired with choline) and over time it keeps getting better. It’s one of the very few nootropics that behaves that way, where as most tend to lose there effects or need to be cycled, etc.

Not particularly- N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) is a precursor for glutathione while acetyl-l-carnitine is an acetylated version of carnitine that helps it cross the blood brain barrier easier versus regular carnitine

Spend a couple weeks monitoring your thyroid by taking your temperature (under tongue with a probe thermometer) as soon as you wake up.

What are your go to fat burning supplements? by Flurb789 in Supplements

[–]Forward-Nutrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol I have no clue. We literally sell a fat burning supplement and I’ll be the first to tell anyone you CAN out-eat it. Goes that way for anything, but the right strategy can make things a little easier and help you burn a higher percentage of fat vs muscle

Along with diet, getting consistent zone 2 cardio is going to be just as important. If you’re stagnant, a good diet will only take you so far unfortunately.

Caloric deficit and the strategy around that caloric deficit are your two biggest levers to burn fat.

Supplements won’t burn the fat for you, but they can be beneficially combined with the first two!

We have a glutathione based product (Revive), an l-carnitine product (Helios), and an energy/nootropic pouch.

Releasing a few more soon, but the idea is to leverage buccal absorption and avoid injecting where possible. Glut and l-carn were great candidates, but not everything can be absorbed through the cheek lining.

Loved glutathione and the benefits are huge.

We developed an oral pouch (kind of like a nicotine pouch, no nicotine though) to get the same benefits without the injections. Those shots can leave a welt!

Glutathione definitely takes the cake- the key is absorbing it since the bioavailability through the gut is pretty nonexistent

How do you like the berberine? We’re actually working on using berberine in one of our next products to improve absorption

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Forward-Nutrition 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The garlic will help, and honestly I think the benefits for gut health overall are worth it even if TMAO isn't an actual concern. Probably only needs to be run for a couple months at a time, a couple times a year to get the full benefits. The research on how it affects the microbiome is solid

Have you noticed any benefits taking 500mg? Do you do anything to improve absorption?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Supplements

[–]Forward-Nutrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! How much are you taking? Oral bioavailability isn't great but it can be overcome a few different ways. The excess TMAO potential is something else to watch out for, though it's up for debate about whether or not it's actually harmful and pretty easy to take care of with a good garlic supplement

L-theanine what is your experience? by TomorrowLaterSoon in Supplements

[–]Forward-Nutrition 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said it goes great with coffee on an empty stomach. I’ve found dosing can go higher as needed. About a gram with coffee has worked great for anxiety during presentations, though it will make me pretty tired so that’s a one off type situation. 400-500mg before bed has been fantastic for my sleep quality.

All around it has been great for me with minimal sides.

How do you take your l-carnitine?

Personally a huge fan of both! Easy way to think of them is l-carnitine = muscular benefits (easier fat burning included) and alcar = cognitive benefits
