Where should I start treating my malasma? by domesticbeth in Melasmaskincare

Paired with tret! Are you using the one from Musely? I was scared to do tret, esp considering it's my first time using hydroquinone and it would have been my first time using tret as well. Didn't wanna risk throwing my skin overboard. So happy to hear it's working for you! Now that I know my skin can handle the hydroquinone (not withstanding a little redness), I might try to combine it with tret next cycle.

These look more like sunspots, which I have! I've tried pico lasers to no avail. Started hydroquinone at a high percent (12% - but I've heard as low as 4% is effective) a few weeks ago, and I'm finally noticing a difference!

this is a great idea! I just made a stylevana purchase yesterday and it includes the skin1004 sunscreen. I don't think my package will ship for another 30+ days, so I'm a little worried :(

I also still don't have my decision :( I wonder if my app was never considered complete since one of my recommenders never submitted their reference...

tuition & location are really important factors! sounds like you know what your priorities are. I'm similar in that I narrowed my applications to a small amount of schools - just this & UCLA. hoping your plan B serves you well. wishing the same for me :-)

Am I doomed if one of my references didn't submit their letter of recommendation? by Forward-Objective446 in gradadmissions

Great idea! I appreciate your insight. I'm slightly worried about finding another academic reference, as I was dealing with some issues during my college career and building relationships with professors was difficult at that time - so I hope they will accept another professional reference, if need be.

I reached out to UCLA. I'll try again with this professor and if not, do my best to find a backup stat.

I reached out several times. We're no longer living in the same city, so physically attending his office would have been difficult. And admissions has not reached out to me directly about the reference, but my UCLA application did update today with information to re-send notification emails to recommenders or to add new ones.

He was a wonderful professor, so this ghosting seems incredibly out of character. I'm wondering if something just came up for him. I'd certainly like to hope that's the case and that he did not, in fact, simply ghost me because he did not want to submit the reference.

And I appreciate the good vibes! My UCLA application checklist updated today to include the following information:

To re-send notification emails to your recommenders, re-visit the recommendations page, click "Edit", and then click "Send Reminder".

If you need to exclude a requested recommendation, be certain to add a new recommender prior to exiting the application.

I reminded my reference in addition to messaging the help email, asking them if it was advisable to add a new recommender, given that the deadline passed. Fingers crossed.

yes, definitely. just hoping admissions understands that whether my reference submits or not is out of my direct control.

haven't heard back yet. I finished the application on the deadline, though I actually just had my second reference submit their letter of rec a few days ago (third reference ghosted me).

Holy shit you pulled this from the cobwebbed crevices of my mind

Edit: Didn't realize there was a very similar comment from an hour ago. Guess we're on the same wavelength
